1.1. Why did the Southfork Ranch change after the mini series?

Sources have stated that the owner of the original ranch was under investigation for some less savory business deals and decided he did not want a film crew hanging around so informed Lorimar they would need to relocate.

1.2 What happened to the original Southfork?

The orginal Southfork Ranch burned down a few years back. It was then bulldozed leaveing just a few remains.

2.1 Where were were the exterior shots for Ewing Oil filmed?

Nations Bank Plaza, 901 Main Street for the later episodes and JR Returns
Main Tower, corner of Murphy and Commerce street (Early episodes until 1986)

2.1 Were the key buildings used in Dallas?

Sue Ellen's Office for Valentine were filmed at Trammel Crow Center, 2001 Ross Ave.

Barnes Wentworth - Cambell Center, the copper mirrored buildings in the opening credits.

The Doubletree's Skyline Ballroom was used in the '80-81 and 81-82 seasons as a restaurant.

The Oil Barrons Club is at the San Jacinto Center at the corner of Ross and
Pearl Street.

Sue Ellen's Apartment when she divorced JR is The Worthington at Northwest Highway and
Dallas North Tollway.

3. Which buildings were used for more than one location?

Julie Grey's apartment building (after she returned to Dallas; before she
died) is the same as Cliff Barnes' old apartment building.

The hotel in Colombia where Pam and Matt Cantrell stayed during her
dream was the same hotel in Venezuela where JR and LeeAnn DeLaVega
stayed during the last season.

The headquarters for JRE Industries and Ewing & Ewing are in the same building.
This is also where Ewing Oil is based in JR returns.

In the 1st season Cliff, Jenna, and Julie Grey all had an apartment in the same building.

The building where Cliff and April went to see Pam and her doctor is the same building where SueEllen used to go to see Dr. Ellby

But building JR moved into to, the same building Nick Pearce took the plunge from the balcony is the same building that Mark Jennings fell out of in Dynasty . For 4 years on "Dynasty" that building was used for the exterior of Alexis' posh high-rise apartment.

4. What happened to the frontdoor of Southfork?

In early episodes they filmed inside the real house for example when Miss Ellie gets the shotgun. Later on the filming is totally based in a Hollywood studio and the frontdoor is not included in the sets.

5. What phone numbers were mentioned in Dallas?

The cab that Pam took to go to Rebecca's house looked familiar - in fact, it belongs to Capitol Cab! The phone number of the cab company, displayed on the side of the cab, started with 555-93, which is exactly as the same phone number on the cab that Sue Ellen took when she was bailed out of jail in Episode 58. So Capitol Cab has a franchise in Houston, as well as Dallas - and they have the same phone number

Jordan Lee's number on a cheque he sent to Kristin was shown as 555-8248

April Stevens number was shown as 555-6604

6. What addresses were given for the characters?

Cliff's address was shown as 1925 West Marshall Blvd

Pam's house (the big white house) was located at 227 Antioch Drive

Pam was treated at the Brooktree Hospital for depression by Dr Dagmar

Sue Ellen was commited to Meadowlark Sanitarium during the 1985-86 season
