Cattleman's Club
As Becky waited to be seated, her eyes searched to room. It didn't appear that Sue Ellen was here yet. Good, she thought. Maybe Sue Ellen would stand her up. Why does she want to see me anyway, she thought. Just as Becky turned to leave the restaurant, Sue Ellen appeared.
"Becky, I'm sorry I was late," Sue Ellen gave her a warm smile as she grasped Becky's hands in her own. She couldn't help noticing Becky's paleness. There were dark circles under her eyes.

Pulling her hands away from Sue Ellen, Becky dryly replied,"Don't worry yourself to death over it."
This was going to be harder than Sue Ellen had imagined it would be. They stood in silence until they were seated at a table adjacent to the bar. The waitress took their drink orders. "I'll have a water," said Becky.
"And I'll have a club soda," said Sue Ellen.
As the waitress walked away, Becky glanced over towards the bar and then back at Sue Ellen. "No vodka today, Sue Ellen?"
Sue Ellen ignored the sarcastic remark. "How are you, Becky? Have you seen the obstetrician recently?"
"I'm fine. The baby is fine."
"You look tired to me, that's all. Are you sure you're feeling well?"
"I'm fine, thank you for you concern." Continuing, Becky said,"Let's cut to the chase, Sue Ellen. Why did you ask me to meet me here?"
"Becky, I asked you to meet you because I am concerned about you and the baby. JR and I are genuinely concerned."

"JR? Oh, I get it now. JR sent you here."
"Please believe me, I came here on my own." Then pausing for a moment, Sue Ellen said,"Becky, I came here out of concern for you. You are carrying John Ross' baby. Whether you like it or not, I am a part of your baby's life."
"Is that all?"
"No...No that's not all. I'm going to lay it on the table for you. The reason I asked you to meet me here is.....It's because I wanted to ask you to move back to SouthFork."
Becky couldn't believe her ears. "Move back to SouthFork!" she nearly shouted. "I should have known you are just like JR."
"Becky, I'm only asking out of concern, as I said before."
Getting up, Becky said,"If you'll excuse me, I seem to have lost my appetite." With that, she walked away. Sue Ellen watched Becky walk past the hostess. But instead of heading towards the exit, Becky entered the restroom.
Sue Ellen left a twenty on the table and followed Becky. Pausing at the door, she started to leave. No. She couldn't give up this easily. As Sue Ellen pushed open the door to the ladies room, she spied Becky through the mirror, seated in a chair in the powder area. She hadn't heard Sue Ellen open the door. Sue Ellen remained quiet as she watched Becky searching frantically for something in her purse.
Thankful that she had finally found the vial, Becky tapped the cocaine out carefully in a line on the back of her left hand. For a moment she hesitated, she had been clean for so long, yet as she
wavered
the image of Cliff came to her, Afton's betrayal and then the baby, a Ewing. As soon as she inhaled this, all the pain would go away. She bent her head down to her hand a voice behind her cried out,” Don't...you'll regret it the rest of your life, Becky."
Startled, Becky turned around to face Sue Ellen. "Please Becky...don't let yourself go down the same path I did."
Gainesville, Texas
After eating a light lunch in a lovely café the two women decided to go and have a look around some of the shops, not that there were that many as it was only a small town.
“These towns are all the same” Mavis said, “Not much happens, everything is so quiet, unlike Dallas”
“Hmm, you can't expect Dallas to be quiet with JR in it do you?” Ellie laughed
Suddenly they saw a youth running towards them, not looking where he was going.”
“Stop thief!” they heard someone shout from within a store
The youth kept running towards them, Ellie tried to sidestep him but instead collided with him, the young man tripped over Ellie's foot and went flying, landing hard on the pavement”

Mavis yelped and grabbed hold of Ellie to steady her friend. The young man picked himself up “What did you do that for?” he asked
Suddenly the storekeeper appeared, and got hold of the youth by the scruff of the neck.
“You're coming with me!” he said
“I didn't do nothing!” the youth protested

“You did, I saw you!” The storekeeper said pushing the youth roughly. Ellie stepped forward “ look why don't we take this into the store and see if we can sort this out?
“There is nothing to sort out lady, this little punk stole a bag full of stuff from my store and he's going to get what's coming to him.” Again the man grabbed the boy and shook him hard.
Ellie took out her mobile phone; “well if that is the case then this is a matter for the police.”
“No, please" the boy pleaded, "I didn't do anything.”
The man hit out at the boy pushing him off balance; suddenly a selection of food and other goods began to slip from underneath the boy's hooded jacket.
“There you go, I told you two busy bodies what I had seen, and now put your cell phone away Jessica Fletcher and leave me to punish the punk the only way he understands.”
“That's not going to happen” Mavis said “you either take this money for the goods you've lost and walk away or else my friend here WILL call the police and we will be reporting an assault on a minor.”
The man glared at them for a minute then snatched the money form Mavis and shoved the boy towards them and walked away.
“Now then young man, what exactly were you doing stealing from that store?” Mavis asked.
“Look I had no choice, I needed to eat didn't I.”
“Well where are your parents?” Ellie asked.
“Look I don't need all these questions, thanks for getting me off the hook and all but I gotta split."
The young boy took off as fast as he arrived leaving the two women stunned.
“What were you saying about these little towns?” Ellie said to Mavis and raised her eyebrows.
Pamela's House
Christopher had been sat with Pam for over an hour filling her in about where he had been in the time he had spent in Europe.
“So I ended up staying in London, at least there I could speak the language. I did some casual work and got involved in a soccer team with some buddies from the building site that I worked at. They were a good bunch and it was nice to be just Chris as opposed to Christopher Ewing. I just wish I had been there in better circumstances. I really think I could have settled if it had been another situation.”
Pamela nodded, “ I know what it feels like to find a type of peace when you are away from your real life. I am just glad that you found the courage that I lacked for all the years and didn't stay away like I did.”
“Don't beat yourself up mum, it's all in the past. I'm over it and you should let yourself move on as well.”

Pamlea thought back to the last conversation she had with Bobby then continued.
“I wish I could, but it seems that many of the problems in my marriage stem from my absence. It would appear that your Dad hasn't got over it as well as he lead me to believe. If I could turn back time then I would, there was so many wasted years and now so many problems that I seem unable to fix ..”
Pam drifted into reflection and Chris stared at her in worry. The phone rang breaking the moment and Pamela stood up and answered it.
“Hello, Pamela speaking.”
“Mrs Ewing it's Brett Chase here. I was wondering if I could make an appointment to see you some time soon?”
“Mr Chase, Hi, I have been meaning to call you and thank you for the work you did on my behalf. I know I wasn't the easiest of clients but I just wanted you to know that I am not normally as stubborn minded; it was just the pressure of the situation.
“Mrs Ewing.”
“Please call me Pamela.”
“Well Pamela, I was going to say you have nothing to apologise about. Hell I could tell you about a client or two that would make you seem like Mother Theresa.”
Pamela laughed, “I bet you could. So what was it that you needed to see me about? I believed that I had paid up in full.”

“Yes it wasn't that, there were just a few official forms I needed you to sign before I put the case to rest.”
“Okay well that's fine, if you want I can come to the office one day this week.”
Brett paused for a moment and then replied.
“Well rather the you come to the office, if it would suit you I could always make reservation for lunch say the day after tomorrow. It is always nice if I can get away from these four walls occasionally and see some of the real world.”
Pamela hesitated not quite sure if she had just been asked out on a date. She finally spoke
“A business lunch would be fine with me, how about the Oil Barons at around 1.00pm?”
“I look forward to it.”
Pamela said goodbye and put down the receiver. She turned back toward where Christopher was sat to find the chair empty. As she walked toward the foyer in search of her son she could hear him talking on his cell phone.
“I miss you too but it's to soon for you to come yet.”
“I know, I feel the same way, but there are things that I need to sort out here first before I can even think about having that conversation.”
“Just give me some time, I promise.”
“I love you too.”
Pamela tried to step back into the lounge; she didn't want Christopher to see her listening to his private conversation. It looked like her son at omitted to tell her about the girl he had obviously met whilst he was away. As she moved away Chris turned around and saw her. Pamela smiled and mimed the words "sorry" and then stepped back into the other room. Christopher followed a few moments later.
“So” Pamela said, “I didn't mean to over hear your conversation but as I did, is there something you want to tell me?”
Christopher stared at his mother, what exactly had she heard.
A Restaurant in Dallas
“Well Bobby this has been lovely. I have to say it's not everyone who can
feign
interest when I get on my environmental soap box” Madeline laughed self deprecatingly.
“Not at all it's an important issue and like I said I really would like to get involved with your project. Plus I always like to see a women who is passionate about something.” Bobby said unwittingly sounded more flirtatious then he intended.
Madeline raised an eyebrow and then laughed again.

“Now Mr Ewing, the first time we meet you were helping save my life and now you're telling me you're interested in promoting my life's work. Who are you the perfect man? ”
“I think they would be a few people who would dispute that title” Bobby replied.
“Well you have certainly made a good impression on me. “
“Thank you." Bobby
chuckled
"All this environmental talk is really fascinating but we have been speaking all this time and I still don't know a thing about you. I mean I am presuming that you are Australian born but I don't know how you ended up here, or if you have a family?
“I am afraid that I can't answers these questions Bobby” Madeline looked at him
seriously
and then laughed once more “I am totally running late, I have a committee group to meet this afternoon and it would do no good if I turned up late and somewhat tipsy.”
Bobby stood up, and helped Madeline from her seat.
“Well maybe I could get the answers then over supper one night this week.”
“That would be great,” Madeline took out her business card and handed it to Bobby, “Well until then.”
Madeline kissed Bobby on the cheek and left the restaurant. Bobby sat down and sipped at his wine, flipping the card in his hand. That wasn't something he was planning at all and he wasn't really sure how it had happened but for this first time in a long time Bobby had actually been enjoying himself. He smiled to himself and put the card in his wallet and motioned for the bill
Cattleman's Club
Becky had tears in her eyes as she said,” What do you care?"
"I care because I know how you're feeling." Sue Ellen brushed the evidence from Becky's hand into the sink and flushed the rest down the toilet.
"What do you think you're doing?"
"Becky, let's go somewhere private where we can talk."
"I don't have to go anywhere with you."

Sue Ellen grabbed her by the elbow and led her outside to her grey Mercedes. "Get in."
The two of them drove in silence until Sue Ellen pulled to a stop at a downtown park. Turning off the ignition, Sue Ellen said,” Let's go have a seat on one of those benches over there by the pond."
Becky silently agreed and followed Sue Ellen to a nearby bench.
"Becky.... I'm sure that you're well aware that I'm an alcoholic."
"What does that have to do with anything?"
"Becky, do you love your baby?"
"What kind of question is that? Of course I love John Ross' baby."
The sound of John Ross' name brought tears to Sue Ellen's eyes. "I know, Becky. And I know that you loved John Ross."
"What I wanted to tell you is that I drank heavily throughout my pregnancy with John Ross. My marriage was a shambles and I sought comfort from the bottle. I drank from the time I got up until I went to bed.... or passed out, whichever happened first."
"John Ross told me about that already," Becky said sarcastically.
Tears were pouring down Sue Ellen's cheeks now as she thought back to the pain she had inflicted on her son. Becky glanced at the woman and actually surprised herself by actually feelings of sympathy for her. "Sue Ellen, are you okay?"

Nodding, Sue Ellen replied,” Yes...I'm okay."
" I missed out on so much. I didn't get to hold my baby for almost two months after he was born because of the complications resulting from my alcohol abuse. He could have died. I could have died."
"But you made up for it later. John Ross loved you very much."
"Yes, I know. But I missed out on the most precious moments of my son's life. Becky...I would give up everything I have to have another chance. It's too late for me.... But it's not too late for you."
Becky was crying now. "I don't...I don't want to hurt my baby."
"I know you don't, Becky. But you need help. It took me a long time to realize I needed help too."
"So, what should I do?"
"That's up to you. You can come to SouthFork and I'll give you all the support in the world. And I promise JR won't bother you. He is only concerned about the baby. But Becky, I can't let you continue like this. If you don't get control of your problem, I'll be forced to do something about it."
"You mean the courts?"
"Yes, that's exactly what I mean. This baby is all we have left of John Ross."
Holding her stomach, Becky replied,” I'll think about it."
"I hope you'll make the right decision. Let me help you, Becky. I don't want you to miss out on what should be the greatest days of your life. Promise you'll think about it?"
Becky nodded, looking down at the ground. "Come on, I'll give you a ride home."
Sue Ellen was surprised that Becky was still holding her hand. Maybe she had gotten through to he.
Southfork Ranch
Alison stood in the hallway waiting for Theresa who had left to announce her presence. Finally she was lead into the living area where Dean and Lucy were sat on the sofa.
“Miss Stannard,” Lucy began “How may I help you?”
“Mrs.. I'm sorry I don't know you're married name.”
“Hillman but please call me Lucy.”

“Well Mrs Hillman I am here as I wanted to speak to somebody regarding the helicopter crash and also to enquire if anybody had heard from your nephew as of yet?”
“Have you spoken to his mother, Pamela Ewing?”
“I have in deed, but let's just say that she has been less the cooperative.”
“Well she was sent to prison for a crime that she wasn't guilty of, what did you expect exactly. “ Lucy quizzed, her tone becoming slightly hostile. “And anyway I though the case was closed, you caught your man didn't you.”
“Well.. Lets just say that there are a few things that I am still not 100% happy about, call it intuition but there are a certain matters I want to check out before I am satisfied.”
“Well MISS Stannard” Dean spoke "I advise you on behalf of myself, my wife and the Ewing Family that we don't wish to be bothered with your hunches. I have lost my stepbrother and the Ewing's lost a dear family member and we are still trying to come to terms with this. We don't need or want you stirring up trouble.
Jeremy
Wendell was the one behind what happened and I adhere you to except that and move on and leave us here in peace.
Dean stepped forward and led Alison by the arm out of the room and onto the patio.
“Mr Hillman if it was my brother who had been killed I would want to know with out a doubt that the right person had been implicated. You seem very eager to have the case closed” Alison said.
Dean stared angrily at her for a moment and then spoke.
“Look my wife is in a very vulnerable state right now and she doesn't need this type of pressure. She is carrying our child and I will not allow you to come here and upset her. Now if you would like to arrange a time for me to meet you and go through what you have found or what ever is troubling you then I will be happy to do so.” Dean said flashing a smile at Alison. Suddenly feeling uneasy Alison became swiftly aware that his hand was still on her arm and she moved away slightly to disengage herself.
“That's fine Mr Hillman, if I need to be in touch anymore I will call first to make sure your wife will not be around to be troubled unduly. Thanks you for your time.”
Alison walked away as Dean gazed after her.
Gainesville, Texas
In the silence of the night the sound of metal on metal broke the nights silence. The young boy waited several seconds half expecting someone to come around the corner to see what the noise was. After several more minutes the boy continued on his quest. He forced open the back of the jeep that Ellie had hired and quietly crawled in. Closing the boot secure behind him the boy covered himself with a blanket and then tried as best as he could to make himself invisible.
Ewing Oil
JR sat alone in the offices late in the evening, overlooking a dark city, reviewing the quarterly financial reports and forecasts. He was startled by the appearance of a man standing in his doorway. “Hello again, Mr. Ewing.”
JR glared at the man with a puzzled look on his face. “Do I know you,” he asked?
“Yes sir, but you probably don't remember me. We met a few years ago. Maybe this will jog your memory,” he said handing JR a photograph.
JR looked at the photograph. “This is a picture of …”

“B.D. Calhoun,” the man interrupted.
“You're that sorry son-of-a-bitch CIA agent that nearly caused me and my family to get killed when you double-crossed me. Get the hell out of here!”
“Calm down, Mr. Ewing. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Frankly, it makes no difference to me.”
“Fine, say what you have to say and then get out!”
“To get right to the point, we need your help.”
“My help,” JR laughed viciously, “that's rich. Because of you, I lost everything not too long ago.”
“Yes sir, I'm aware of that.”
“You're aware of that? Well then be aware of this, JR Ewing never forgives or forgets. It'll be a cold day in hell before I help you.”
“Perhaps, I can convince you to change your mind. This has to do with the Conference Center bombing that occurred and a lady, who we know contacted you recently, named Elizabeth Benson.”
“Go on,” JR replied, his interest now peaked.
“A radical Syrian group, as I'm sure you're aware, claimed responsibility for the bombing. However, we don't think they were behind it at all. We think that a group of European businessmen were responsible, but we don't have the proof.”
“That's where I come in, right? Let me guess, you want me to put my life, my company and my family in danger so you can catch these people. Does that about sum it up,” JR asked?
“Yes sir.”
“What's in it for me?”
“Well, I don't have to tell you that I can make your life a living hell. Let's see EPA, IRS and I'm sure you don't need the FBI investigating some of your past dealings. In fact I have a dossier here of some of your activities here and it makes interesting reading. In fact I think your partners here in Ewing Oil would be interested, that would be you're ex wife isn't it? On top of that, you would be doing your patriotic duty as an American.”
“Horseshit, boy! I don't succumb to threats! You want my help. I'll tell you what it will take. First, I want immunity from prosecution for any ‘illegal' activities that I may or may not have been involved in prior to today. Second, I want guaranteed protection. Not just for now, but forever, because neither you nor I know how deep this goes. Hell, for all I know, Osama bin Laden himself is behind it and I sure don't want to be on his top ten list. These are non-negotiable items, take it or leave it.”
“Agreed, Mr. Ewing, under one condition, this goes no further then these four walls.” the man replied stretching out his hand for JR to shake.
“Oh no, you put it in writing, bring it back signed and notarised by the director and the President.” JR grinned devilishly at the man. “You see, I shook hands and trusted you once. I won't make that mistake again. Now get the hell out of my office.”
“Alright, Mr. Ewing,” the man said standing from his seat. “I'll see what I can do, but it will take a few days and remember mum's the word. I'll contact you when I have the papers and I'll give you further instructions.” The CIA agent disappears out of JR's office. JR walks over to the cabinet and fixes himself a drink. Taking a sip he laughs, “Well, well, this has turned out to be an interesting day. Like I said, nobody threatens JR Ewing.”
A Bar in Down Town Dallas
Keith had almost drank his weeks wages tonight and was now flat broke, however if he played his cards right it was going to be worth it. Swigging down the last of his beer he looked expectantly as the woman who he had been drinking with walked over to him carrying a tray of drinks in her hand.
“Hello sugar.” She said in a thick southern accent.
“I thought you had got lost.”
“I was just getting us more supplies.”
The woman placed the tray of drinks on the table and immediately picked up a vodka slammer and poured into a glass of beer and handed it over to him. She picked up her own martini and gulped it down in one go. She then proceeded to take out a bag of white powder from her bag.
“I scored us a guarantee of a really great evening as well.”
The women sucked her finger then dipped it into the cocaine and then put it into Keith's mouth. He sucked on it greedily.
“Rebecca Wentworth, you are one wild lady.”
Keith slid his hand up the woman's leg and she accommodated by opening her thighs to let his hand go further. As he roughly explored between her legs the women threw back her head and shook her mane of auburn hair and howled.
“You better believe it honey.”
