Afton walked into Cliff's office unannounced. She hadn't given the secretary time to buzz her in. Cliff looked up startled as he heard the door bang shut.

"Afton" Cliff exclaimed. "I have been worried about you. Becky called to say you missed her doctors appointment and we were both wondering what had happened to you."

"I have been out to lunch with Sue Ellen" Afton replied in a mere whisper.

Cliff looked perplexed and raised his eyebrows.

"Honey I told you if the Ewings came calling to ignore them. We need to support Becky and if that means standing by her decision to keep Sue Ellen as well as JR away from this baby then so be it. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing personally against Sue Ellen but.."

"SHUT UP" Afton yelled.

Cliff was momentarily stunned into silence.

"Afton, honey what is the matter?" Cliff stood up from his chair and walked towards his wife. "I knew meeting up with the Ewings, any of the Ewings would be a bad idea, why didn't you tell me Sue Ellen called? I would have met her myself and told her to back off."

Cliff held out his arms to embrace his wife. However, quivering with rage instead of with an embrace, Afton struck Cliff across the face so hard she knocked him back off his feet on to the floor.

"YOU BASTARD!" Afton took out the photographs and threw them at Cliff. He picked one of
them up which lay at his wife's feet and the colour drained from his face.

"Oh my God."
