Southfork Ranch early
morning
Sue Ellen sat on the porch
deep in thought, the early morning sun already heating up and breaking
through the clouds. It was around six am but she had become accustomed
to these early mornings over the last two months. Since John Ross's
death Sue Ellen had had no peace and it showed on her face where she
had dark rings under her eyes. A noise broke the silence and disturbed
her thought. She looked up to see JR standing in the door way
"Good morning"
"Hello JR, are you leaving
so early?"
"I have things to do
in the office and time waits for the no man. He paused and looked at
her deep in the eyes.
"You know what today
is?"
"Of course I do"
"Good, well let me tell
you now that this day is also the day when things will start to change,
forever."
Sue Ellen looked away.
"You know what you have
to do."
With that JR walked over
to his car and drove off into the sunset leaving Sue Ellen alone again.
The cryptic exchange of words floated through Sue Ellen's mind, the
words that had been left unsaid were what troubled her. What she had
to do today was going to be hard. For this day was when she and JR would
reform their union and begin their plans to avenge their son's death,
the day that would have been his 23rd birthday.
