Becky sat at the kitchen table deep in thought, Afton walked up behind her.

"Coffee?" Afton asked

Becky shook her head

"How's it going?" Afton asked

"Fine, I'm just thinking of the music for the memorial, its only 2 days away and I really need to get this to Sue Ellen" Becky replied

"What music are you thinking of?" Afton stated

"Well as its not exactly what I wanted, no church, I thought maybe Ava Maria, what do you think?" Becky asked

"That's really beautiful, are you going to say any words? A eulogy?" Afton asked

"Sue Ellen hasn't asked and you know I don't think I want to. Right now I feel in control and I want to stay that way" Becky replied

"You know, there is no right or wrong way to deal with this, but its ok to let go, to let your feelings out" Afton replied

"Let me deal with this my way, please" Becky stated harshly. Afton nodded

At Southfork, the burnt remains of the Barn were cordoned off by Police tape as a group of forensic experts searched the site for clues.

Detective Cronin stood on, smoking a cigarette.

Two men wearing latex gloves carefully rummaged through the embers.

"I think iv found something" he said picking up a small object, he took out a brush to remove the blackened outer layer to reveal a gold ring.

"Ok help me move this" The other man said as he pulled away a large piece of wood, originally holding the roof of the barn

Detective Cronin began to walk away as the hot sun shone down on the scene of the incident.

"We've found something" a man called out

The Detective turned back.

"What is it?" he asked

"We have what appears to be a long bone, maybe a femur, also found what appears to be finger bones and parts of a hand and several teeth" the man replied

The Detective threw his cigarette on the ground

"How hot was in there?" he asked

"Looking at the teeth, some brittleness, I would say about 300 , maybe 400 degrees" the man replied

"The fuel from the chopper" The Detective concluded

"I would would say so yes" The man agreed

"Ok it over to the lab, how quickly can you get an Ornithologist for the teeth?" The Detective asked

"Quick as we can" He replied

"Ok, contact me as soon as you know and I'll inform the family" The Detective said walked away.

Cliff sat behind his desk at Barnes Oil, his office door opened and Anita Smithfield walked in.

Cliff sat back, shocked to see Anita return to the company following her arrest

"You seem surprised to see me" she said, her lips heavily made up in a bright red.

"What are you doing here? I don't want you here" Cliff stated

"Well I am here, for now, and I have every right to be here, unless Katherine says otherwise and I find that very unlikely" Anita said harshly

"I don't see how you can show your face, not after what you did to Sue Ellen" Cliff replied in disgust

"Well we will let the courts decide my fate won't we" Anita said reminding Cliff she was on bail

"Yeah we will, and then you can rot in jail with Katherine, then I wonder who she will let administer her shares? Hannibal Lector perhaps?" Cliff stated with sarcasm

"Well whoever it is, I hope they make your life hell. " Anita turned to walk out, she turned and looked back at him "By the way Cliff, you were crap in bed" she smiled and walked out

Cliff sat shaking his head.

Ray sat on horseback in the field of Southfork, as the herd of cattle galloped into a circle.
A car pulled up to the fence, Donna walked out and took off her shades
Ray's horse galloped over.

"Good day Donna, you're early" Ray stated wiping the sweat from his brow

"Iv just been up to the house, Sue Ellen's in a pretty bad way" Donna stated somberly.

"I know, what can you do? I think of Margaret and god I just don't what I would do if I lost a child" Ray replied

Donna nodded "I know, I think it was right that she stayed in Washington, after everything she went through I don't think being here right now would help"

At Southfork Lucy arrived home with Bobby, he offered to help her in. Lucy refused as she made her way into the house using her crutches.

Miss Ellie walked out to her

"Lucy, welcome home" Ellie stated

"It's good to be back" Lucy replied as she made her way into the hallway.

"You have a visitor Lucy" Ellie smiled.

"Oh" Lucy said as she made her way into the lounge. Dean Hillman stood up to greet her.

"Hello again" Lucy smiled

"Here let me help you" Dean said assisting Lucy to the chair

"Thanks, well I guess you didn't stop by to ask me to go skiing" Lucy joked

Dean laughed

"No, look, this may be out of the blue, whatever, but I was passing and remembered you were coming home and thought maybe, if you wanted to, we could perhaps go for dinner, or something" Dean said awkwardly.

"Dinner? Like this?" She said looking down at the plaster on her leg

"Well I don't think you're the first person to have a broken leg and apparently they do cater for people on crutches in certain restaurants" Dean smiled

"They do? Darn I thought I would have to lock myself inside for weeks" she replied

"Is that a yes?" Dean asked scratching his ear.

"Sure, I would like that" Lucy replied

They looked at each other for a second. Dean smiled

"Great, look I know you just got home so I'll let you get back to whatever it is you need to do" Dean replied

"No, its fine, stay, have a drink, " Lucy stated

"No, I don't want to impose" he took out a pen and some paper " Here take my number, call me, soon." he said writing down his number and handing it to Lucy.

"I will, thanks" Lucy smiled

"Great" Dean replied. "I'll be seeing you" He said and walked out.

Miss Ellie walked back in.

"Who was that?" Ellie asked

"Just some guy" Lucy replied

"A very handsome guy" Ellie smiled

"Grandma!!" Lucy stated embarrassed, she stroked the back of her hair "But you're right, he is rather cute" she said deep in thought pouting her lips.

Ray and Donna sat on the porch of Rays ranch. Donna poured herself a lemonade as the scorching Texas sun shone down.

"So how are things Donna?" Ray asked

Donna sighed

"Its been difficult, Margaret just gets on with things. I don't know what I expected, what Andrew did affected her deeply but right now I don't know how, Iv been trying to deal with her pain and my own" Donna replied

"I can appreciate that" Ray replied swigging his beer

"I just felt so guilty, I should of known, its amazing how quickly emotions can change, I loved him so much and now I just hate him. But justice will be served" Donna responded with a bitterness

"Dam it Donna, I just wish you weren't both so darn far away, I feel helpless" Ray replied

"Well , that's what I wanted to talk to you about" Donna stated

Ray sat forward "Oh?" he questioned

"With the Presidential elections coming up I'm going to be commuting an awful lot between Washington and Texas" Donna replied

"Senator Thornton?" Ray asked

"That's right, lucky me gets the job of working on his campaign, high up on the list is Energy and there is a major conference here in Texas two months from now and Oil is obviously a real contentious issue, the world is a very scary place right now and the economy could suffer as a result" Donna explained

"You got that right, the price of Crude is shooting up" Ray replied

"Yep, so we could be in for a recession, so these issues need to be addressed and OPEC's squeeze hasn't helped either." Donna expressed

Ray smiled and sat down "Now Donna I don't think we are having this conversation for you to get my input on world affairs" he said laughing

"You know you could be right, although your opinions are obviously crucial to the campaign" she said laughing

"You want me to look after Margaret?" Ray asked smiling

"Would you mind?" Donna asked her in Texan accent, clasping her hands together as she sat forward

"Do I mind? Of course I don't mind. I would love to have Margaret" Ray replied with delight.

"I think it would be good for her" Donna replied "Oh by the way how's Lucas? " she asked

"He's fine, he called me last night. He's having a great time with Charlie in Europe, so this conference is it in Dallas?" Ray asked

"Yep, at City Hall" Donna replied

Meanwhile at a motel room in downtown Dallas, Carl, a man in his late thirties sat on the edge of bed smoking a cigarette, the orange curtains drawn.
The door opened and 3 other men walked in. One threw down a package on the bed

"Is that the money?" Carl asked

"Yeah, everything goes ahead as planned, City Hall is the definite target" one man replied

"Well I got more news for you, this is no longer a simple assassination of the Senator, this is going to be something hell of a lot bigger" Carl explained

"What are we talking about here?" the man asked

"Something that will rock the very foundations of City Hall" Carl stated

"Numbers?" The man asked rubbing his forehead

"Hundreds, maybe more, mass casualties, something this City will take years to recover from, something which will make this Government sit up and listen" Carl stated

Scene fades to black.
