At Dallas memorial hospital Lucy Ewing lay unconscious in life support, the heart monitor pulsated a beat that hit through Gary and Pamela as they sat by her bedside.

"I just wish she'd wake up" Gary said holding Lucy's hand.

"I know Gary, Lucy is strong, she will be fine I'm sure" Pam reassured him.

"I don't understand any of this, I just don't" Gary replied.

"Things like this don't make sense at all but you have to have faith" Pamela replied

"I don't feel I even have the right to be here, you have been closer to her than myself or Val. It just seems so crazy" Gary replied looking down at Lucy.

"This is no time to dissect the past, what's done is done and Lucy needs you now, all of us" Pam said trying to hold back her tears.

"Wake up honey, please god wake up" Gary said pleading with his daughter to regain consciousness.

Cliff and Afton sat at home. There was silence in the room.

Becky walked down the stairs, her arm bandaged.

"I have to find John Ross" she said tearfully.

Afton walked over to her daughter.

"Becky, you need rest, please" Afton said holding her daughters hand

"Mom, I have to find him, if I got out, I know John Ross did, they are wrong, I know he's alive, they are wrong" Becky said.

"Becky please, sweetheart, please, don't do this to yourself" Afton pleaded

"Its all my fault, Its all my fault, he can't be gone, I need him, he loves me. He wouldn't leave me. I have to go and tell him" Becky said emotionally.

Afton took her daughter by the shoulders.

"Becky, John Ross is dead and we will help you through this, sweetheart I know its hard, but you have to find a way to deal with this" Afton explained.

"No, no" Becky screamed, crying.

Afton hugged her tightly. Cliff looked on not knowing what to say or do.

Ellie still dressed at 1am, walked down the Southfork stairs.

Sue Ellen paced up and down the lounge, tired and emotional

The two women looked at each other, they did not speak. There was silence. Miss Ellie walked over to Sue Ellen and hugged her tightly. They both broke down in tears, Sue Ellen could hardly breath through her tears.

"My son, Miss Ellie, I want my son back, please , get my son, I need my baby, oh my baby boy" Sue Ellen said through her tears.

Miss Ellie broke down crying. Both women stood hugging each other in the lounge, sobbing.

Bobby walked out of his bedroom, wearing his dressing gown, he made his way down the hallway.

He stood outside JR's bedroom and noticed the door was slightly ajar. He pushed the door open and walked in. JR's bed was unmade, clothes were thrown around the room, and glass on the floor. JR was nowhere to be seen.
Bobby looked concerned

JR , his eyes red from sleepless nights, his shirt partly undone, drove erratically towards Pamela's house. A partially filled bottle of whiskey lay on the seat beside him.
He skidded into the driveway crashing into some pot plants which shattered.
