Becky sat on her bed at Southfork watching MTV (Genie in a Bottle played), she took out a cigarette lighting it , she took a puff and laid back and softly sang "if you want to be with me, baby there's a price to pay" A knock came at the bedroom.

"Enter, its open" Becky said bluntly.

Christopher walked in. "Hi you ok?" he asked.
Becky sat up "yeah Im ok, I guess" she said.

"Ok thats all I wanted to know" he replied and smiled and moved to leave.
"Wait" Becky stated "why don't sit with me for a while" she requested patting the bed.

Christopher walked over and sat by the bed "I can't stand this song" he said.

"Did you see what she was wearing at those World Music Awards, the word slut comes to mind" Becky replied laughing

"Well Im not exactly into this kind of music, if thats what you wanna call it" he said

Becky took another lug on her cigarette"No, you like your RadioHead stuff don't you" she said smiling and turned the channel using the remote.

"Great, I love this song" she said as the Channel shifted to Nirvanas Teen Spirit

"Now this I can appreciate" Christopher replied
Becky sarcastically bobbed her head to the music and laughed.

"You are so different from John Ross" Becky stated.

"What do you mean?" Christopher asked.

"Well I don't remember the last time I had a normal conversation with him, about music or anything" she said.

Christopher looked down "I dont know if you should be telling me this." he replied and looked back up at Becky.

"I know things are bad between me and John Ross, hell Im not gonna lye, they couldn't get much worse. I found out hes sleeping with someone else" she said emotionless.

Christopher looked shocked "what ? and what? You dont mind?, why are still here?"

Becky smiled "Of course I mind, I mind a lot But despite everything I know he loves me, he loves me in his own way...........and for some bizarre reason I love him too"

(The song changed to Insatiable by Darren Hayes)

"Thats not love Becky, thats not love at all" he said profoundly.
Becky looked deep into his blue eyes.

"Do you know what love is then Christopher" she asked.

They held their look. A moment of intensity.

"yeah" he said softly "I think I do"

They continuing to look into each others eyes.

The moment was suddenly ripped apart.

"Well this looks very cozy" John Ross said standing in the doorway.

Becky slumped back on the bed.

"How's your mom?" Christopher asked.

"Not good" John Ross said throwing his jacket down.

Christopher sat silent then got up

"Well I'll see you guys later" he replied uncomfortably and left the room closing the door.

John Ross walked over to Becky. He sat by her on the bed and stroked her arm.

"Don't touch me you asshole" she said venomously.

John Ross grabbed her and pulled her towards him.

"Don't speak to me like that ok?" he demanded

They looked at each other and John Ross smiled. Becky smiled back. They began to kiss passionately and fell back onto the bed.

Christopher sat alone in his bedroom wondering....................what if.........................

JR Ewing stood in the study of Southfork away from the rest of the family. He took out a piece of paper and dialed a number.

"Evans , JR here. Now whats going on?" JR stated bluntly.

"I have information about your daddys death" The gruff voice replied.

"Tell me what you know," said JR, his voice flat

"Well, sir, I’d like to tell you all I know but certain factors .. ."

JR knew he had heard that tone of voice before. "Maybe a little fee would help."

"That would be very kind," said Evans, relieved. It was the sort of thing Evans had learned to say when money came up. Money had rarely been discussed in the Evans house hold when Lee was a boy. His mother always said it was vulgar.

"How much?" demanded JR.

"Well, I’ll just leave that up to—"

"Stop pussyfooting, Evans," said JR, who had been discussing money, its acquisition, and uses since he could remember.

"I was thinking somewhere around"—Evans lost his nerve; he swallowed hard—"somewhere around twenty thousand dollars."

"And for twenty thousand dollars you’ll tell me who killed my daddy, how, and why?"

"No sir, that’s not in my power. If I could, I would certainly—"

"What will you tell me?" .

"Ah, I’d rather not say on the phone. If it would be convenient I could come to Dallas and tell you face to face."

"How soon can you get here?"

"I could get a flight out today, only—"

"Only you don’t have the fare, is that it, Lee?" said JR exasperatedly.

"Yes," said Evans. He felt like he was begging.

"Okay, I’ll take care of it. Get a flight and then call back. My secretary will foot the bill"

"Thank you, Mr. Ewing—"

JR cut him short. "Call me back when you know when you’re coming."

"Okay, I’ll call you right back."

"You do that. And Lee-"

"Yes, Mr. Ewing?"

JR spoke just above a whisper, his voice shot through with pure menace. "I want you to understand that I do not take kindly to someone messing with the memory of my daddy. So if you are playing some kind of game with me, advice I got for you is don’t set foot in Texas." JR didn’t wait for a reply. He dropped the receiver onto the cradle.

At that moment Bobby walked into the study.

"Hes here JR" Bobby said softly.

JR's face turned pale.

"They've brought daddy's remains back"

At Sue Ellens house. Cliff stood in the kitchen frying some vegetables.

"Cliff you really didn't need to do this" Sue Ellen said.

"What? and let you miss out on my amazing stir fry. Never" Cliff joked.

The doorbell rang.

Sue Ellen walked over to answer it, first glancing out of the window to see a Police Car parked in the driveway. She opened the door and two Police Officers stood in the door way.

"Mrs Ewing? Mrs Sue Ellen Ewing" one asked

"Yes" Sue Ellen replied and allowed the officers in.

Cliff walked into the living room where Sue Ellen stood with the officers.

"Mrs Ewing we have a warrant for your arrest. Your results came back and you had over .08% alcohol in your blood" The officer explain

"NO thats impossible" she shouted

"Sue Ellen don't say a word" Cliff said attempting to silence Sue Ellen

"Mrs Ewing we are arresting you for Intoxication manslaughter under Texas Penal Code 49.07. You have the right to remain silent but anything you say will be taken down and used in a court of law as evidence against you"

"Oh my god no" Sue Ellen stated in shock.

Meanwhile at Southfork JR made his way down the stairway. He moved slowly and and stood at the doorway of the Dining room, the door closed.

He walked in to find Miss Ellie standing next to a coffin of mahogony laid out in the room. Bobby stood beside her, JR walked in silently.

Bobby and JR stood either side of Miss Ellie as they looked over the remains of Jock Ewing. Miss Ellie breathed in and took out Jocks famous buckle, one which represented the strength of the man in life. She placed the buckle on top of the casket.

She stood silent, her sons either side of her. It was time to say a final good-bye to her husband, the man who had created the Ewing empire.
