Tracy
and Margaret sat at the roadside of a busy shopping area watching people
walk up and down.
"Ok watch me ok" Tracy said.
"what are we doing?" Margaret asked.
"When I say, we run like the wind ok?" Tracy stated.
Tracy ran across the road. Margaret watched but lost Tracy in the crowd
of people. Suddenly Tracy ran back carrying something.
"RUN" she yelled at Margaret.
Margaret jumped up and followed Tracy as the two girls ran with all
their energy. Finally they stopped in safe area and Tracy fell against
a wall gasping for breath, in her hand was a bag. She opened it and
pulled out a purse and threw the bag down. Tracy took out a bunch of
money and credit cards.
"What the hell is this?" Margaret asked.
Tracy smiled "Robbery
Margaret, isnt it obvious. Tomorrow will be your turn. Sal has about
20 girls working for her, its a very organized business, we get a cut
and so does Sal"
Margaret is almost
lost for words "Im not doing that, no way."
"Well good
luck Margaret, not only will you have to try to survive alone on the
streets, but saying no to Sal is not a good idea."
Tracy explained
lifting up her shirt to reveal some very heavy bruising.
Margaret stood in silent shock.
At
Southfork Ranch Lucy , Bobby, Pamela and JR sat in the living room.
Christopher and Becky walked in.
"Seen my son
"JR asked Becky.
"No why has
your tracking device ran out of batteries?" Becky asked sarcastically
"Not now please
Becky" Bobby asked.
Becky rolled her
eyes.
"Whats this
about? "Christopher asked.
"Grandma wants
to speak to us all" Lucy explained.
At that moment Miss
Ellie dressed in a refined manner walked in. Her presence filled the
room with an ore of respect and power.
"Im glad you
are all here" she said then noticed Ray was missing
"No Ray?"
she asked.
"Donna turned
up momma, to discuss Margaret" Bobby explained
"of course,
that poor girl" Ellie said softly.
"So whats this
about Momma?" JR said cutting to the point.
Miss Ellie sat down
in her chair to address the family.
"This is obviously
a difficult time and stirred many memories for most of us" she
glanced over at Becky who shifted uncomfortably in her chair
Ellie continued
"Jock was a strong man, a man we loved and I wont rest until those
responsible for this death are brought to justice and I am not interested
in excuses and whatever it takes we must do. Is that understood?"
she said coolly.
JR nodded , Bobby
looked at Pam then back at his mother and nodded.
"I spoke to
the Police department and they have released Jocks remains and I have
requested that he is brought home to Southfork. It will be a dignified
ceremony for family and friends. I have spoken to Gary and he and Valene
will return to Southfork as soon as its all arranged. The whole family
will be there to finally say good-bye to Jock"
Miss Ellie stopped
and there was silence in the room. Ellie stood up and walked out of
the room.
The family sat in silence. Miss Ellie walked into the kitchen and sat
down at the table and began to cry as her emotions were stirred.
Sue Ellen stood in her living room with John
Ross, they hugged as they both stood at the door.
"I'll be back
later mom ok" John Ross said reassuringly.
Sue Ellen nodded
and smiled uncomfortably.
"It was an
accident, you have to remember that" he said.
"I know, I
know" she said. "Well I'll see you later" she finished.
John Ross smiled
and squeezed his mothers hand and left. Sue Ellen watched from the door,
finally closing it and looked around the room and sat down.
She walked over
to the phone and picked it up and poised to dial as the door bell rang.
Sue Ellen looked up replacing the handset and walked over and opened
the door.
"Cliff"
Sue Ellen stated rather shocked to see Cliff Barnes standing there.
"Hello Sue Ellen" he replied with a sympathetic smile.
At one time, almost
a life time ago Sue Ellen and Cliff had been lovers. A love affair based
on revenge and anger but also a mutual knowledge of being the victim
of JR Ewing.
"Can I come
in?" he asked.
Sue Ellen opened
the door wider to beckon his entrance
"Can I get
you a drink?" Sue Ellen asked.
"No no I'm
fine, I heard what happened with the girl. Im so sorry Sue Ellen, I
thought perhaps right now you could do with a friend." He asked.
Sue Ellen looked
down vulnerable. "Thats sweet of you Cliff, and yes right now I
feel like Im going out of my mind. Just before you arrived I was going
to try and contact the girls mother. I just wanted to apologize, say
something, I don't know. How can you apologize for what Iv done"
Cliff walked over
to Sue Ellen. "I know its hard Sue Ellen, but I dont think thats
a wise thing to do. I know its a cliché but time will help, its
a terrible accident but not your fault"
Sue Ellen pulled
away. "I keep running it through my head, over and over. I feel
so confused. Accident or not. I killed that girl. I killed that child
and I dont know how I can live with myself"
Sue Ellen stood
trying not to cry, Cliff placed his hand on her shoulder. "It will
be ok Sue Ellen, just give it time"
At
the Police department in Braddock a police officer sits at his desk
, a female Officer walks over and hands him an envelope.
"These are
the results back from the lab of a Mrs Ewing, Sue Ellen Ewing"
she said.
He looked up from
his desk. "Great been waiting for these" he said, opening
the envelope.
