Dallas fans sit back and relax. The worlds number one show is
BACK....
Episode One Season One
Like Father Like Son
JR Ewing sits
in his chair at Ewing Oil. A company built by his father Jock
Ewing. A company now that is weighed down in power, corruption, revenge, and
scandal. A company where winning is the only objective, and power is the
only outcome.
JR turns to his ex wife Sue Ellen Ewing.
"JR Ewing, what have you created?" she asks angrily.
"A winner, Sue Ellen. A winner." JR replies without remorse.
"You have turned a sweet young man into a monster." she replies tearfully.
"This is our son you are talking about." JR states.
Meanwhile, at Southfork Ranch, John Ross Ewing sits at the dining table.
Dollar bills laden the table. His wife Becky stands beside him, holding a
glass of brandy. An older man sits opposite of John Ross sweating; holding a
hand of cards.
John Ross lays his cards. The man closes his eyes and sits back.
"My game..." John Ross states with a smile.
"Thats it. Im out. I quit." The man says.
John Ross shakes his head.
"Now Tony, I thought you were a gambleing man? I tell you what, I will wipe
out your entire debt to Ewing Oil and will put up one of our holdings, the
McKenzie Field." John Ross sits back.
The man shakes his head.
"I can't meet those odds John Ross." he says shaking.
John Ross gently rubs Becky's backside.
"Fix the man a drink, Becky. A man could of die of thrist around here." John
Ross states cooly.
Becky crouches down and whispers to John Ross.
"Don't do this to him. You will destroy him." Becky begs.
John Ross pulls her close. "Don't question me. Now get the drink"
Becky pulls away, and pours gin into the glass.
The man downs it.
"So what's it going to be? I don't think you have a choice." John Ross
states.
The man thinks.
"Ok I win this, and the debt is wiped. If I loose you get...." he sighs
"everything." he says sweating.
John Ross smiles. "Thats what I like...a gambleing man".
Meanwhile, back at Ewing Oil, Sue Ellen and JR continue their conversation.
JR rises up from his chair.
"Sue Ellen, you are worrying about nothing." JR states.
Sue Ellen shook her head.
"No JR. I have seen things over the past two years. Since John Ross took
control, he has changed." Sue Ellen says angrily. "I want it to stop!" she
continues.
JR turns to her "Stop? John Ross is doing what he has to do to keep Ewing
Oil number one. He is just doing what he has to do."
Sue Ellen walks closer to JR
"Not like this, JR. Don't let him become like you." she says.
JR became angry.
"Hell, Sue Ellen , would you rather he was like you? A hopeless drunk? Weak
and controlled?" he asked.
Sue Ellen breathed in "You bastard."
"I taught John Ross the three most important principles to survive. Not just
survive, but to be the best"
JR looks up at Sue Ellen intently.
"Number one, Sue Ellen, is winning. It's NOT the playing that counts, but
the winning that matters and it doesn`t matter how you win..........but the
fact that you win" JR explains.
Back at Southfork.
John Ross watches Tony hold his cards. Tony tightens his lips.
Becky steps forward and jokes. "You dont have to play this Tony, I always
thought Poker was a rather stupid game anyway." she laughs.
John Ross pulls Becky's arm harshly.
"Let the man play his hand, Becky." John Ross demands. Becky glares at him
and pulls away.
Tony looks at his cards and smiles.
He lays the cards out on the table.
"There you go, John Ross. A straight Flush." Tony laughs, sitting back.
John Ross nods and smiles.
"Very good Tony. I'm impressed." his smile turns to a grimace. "but not
that
impressed."
John Ross lays his cards out.
Tonys eyes widen.
"Five of a kind." John Ross smiles "You lose Tony."
Tony puts his head in his hands. "You've destroyed me."
Becky watches as John Ross sits smiling.
At Ewing Oil, JR continues to explain to Sue Ellen his teaching methods.
"Number two, Sue Ellen, would be revenge. Don't let anyone hold ya' down for
long. If you want to stay in control, you show people that no one questions
you; that no one messes with you. You do whatever you can to stay in
control. " JR says coldly.
At Southfork, Becky walks into the bedroom carrying a glass of vodka. She
walks over to the mirror and sits down. John Ross walks in, loosening his
tie and throws it on the bed. He stands behind her. She watches his
reflection in the mirror.
"Get up Becky." John Ross says angrily.
Becky stays sitting .
"Hell, I said get up." He yells, slamming the items on the dresser to the
floor.
Becky stands and turns to him.
"How dare you question me in front of him. What the hell did you think you
were doing?" John Ross asks.
"What you did was wrong. He's an old man, John Ross. He has nothing, you
took everything from him. " she says venomously.
John Ross stares at her with an intense anger. He lifts his hand and slaps
her hard across the face.
"Don't dare ever question me again, Becky. Do you understand? " he asks.
Becky tries to hold back the tears. "What happened to you?" she asks. "What
happened to me?" she pauses.
John Ross opens Becky's drawer and pulls out a small bag of white powder. He
pushes it into Beckys face.
"This what happened to you?" he says coldly as the bag of cocaine falls onto
the floor.
JR Ewing turns around on his chair and looks at the portrait of
Jock. He
then turns back to face Sue Ellen.
"And number three, JR? What twisted ideology is that?" she requests.
JR smiles. "Number three Sue Ellen. Number 3 is no regrets. You do what you
have to do and to hell with the consequences. No remorse.........just the
satisfaction of winning"
JR smiles.
Back at Southfork, Tony gets into his car parked in the driveway. He puts
his head on the dashboard then sits back up. He opens the glove compartment
and pulls out a gun. He lifts the gun up and almost, in slow motion, puts
the gun to his left temple. The barrel puts a slight pressure onto the skin
as he holds it there. He breaths and quickly pulls the trigger. A shot rings
out.
