Part two of this extended episode

It was early morning at Southfork.

Pam sat in the living room with her arm around Christopher, Lucy sat opposite. Ray and Booby stood next to Miss Ellie.

Sheriff Brogan and his deputy Rawlings stood in the lounge after several hours of questioning.
Sheriff Brogan looked down at his notes.

"So Miss Wentworth held Pamela Ewing here hostage with the intent to kill her, her son Christopher arrived home, took the rifle after seeing Mis Wentworths car parked in the roadway and the house in darkness, went up into the kitchen where Pamela Ewing was being held, saw what was happening and shot Miss Wentworth?"

Ellie walked over to him
"Thats exactly what happened Sheriff" she said sternly.

"Ok Mrs Farlow,no need to get hostile just trying to get the facts as they stand" he replied looking at his deputy.

"Well you have the facts and we`ve had enough, my family has been through a terrible ordeal, like I told you my grandson saved his mothers life, now I would appreciate it if you would now leave my family in peace and end this" Ellie stated.

The sheriff nodded and signaled to the deputy to leave.

"Well thankyou all for your time" the sheriff said.

He turned to walk away.

"What about Katherine?" Pamela asked

The Sheriff turned to her "shes out of surgery Mrs Ewing, shes in recovery now under armed guards, shes not going anywhere and she wont be going anywhere for quite sometime"

He walked outside with the deputy.

Pam stood up and hugged Miss Ellie.

"Thankyou" Pam stated.

"Any news on Afton?" Ray asked.

Bobby walked over to Christopher "yes Cliff said shes doing fine"

Christopher got up and walked out of the room outside onto the patio.
Pam walked after him.

"What a crazy time this has been " said Ray said profoundly

Ellie nodded "yes it has,but this is over now and John Ross has the all clear, I think we should go ahead with the Barbecue next week as normal" she stated.

Lucy smiled. "Great, I`ll get onto it"

Christopher stood as a light wind blew his hair back.
Pam walked out to him.

"Hi" Pam said.

Christopher turned to her, his eyes tearful.

"I could of killed her mom, when I saw what she was about to do......." he said quietly.

Pam grabbed his hands and looked at him seriously.

"You did what you had to do, you saved my life" Pam stated.

"Im so sorry mom........I was so angry with you, all those years I missed out not being with you" He said, Pam interrupted him and smiled.

"Christopher, I`m here for you, Im here now" she said emotionally.

Christopher hugged his mother tightly.

"I missed you mom, I missed you so much, " he said .

Pam hugged him, stroking the back of his head. "I missed you too" she said quietly

JR sat by John Ross`s bedside. John Ross lay asleep.

"Soon son, soon it will all be yours, Ewing Oil. I made you that promise long ago, and now soon the legacy will continue.......a legacy which began long ago. Soon.........." JR said quietly looking on at his son.

John Ross gradually opened his eyes.

"Dad" he said

JR laughed "Im here son"

"Becky? Is Becky here?" JohnRoss asked.

JR looked concerned

"No John Ross, no shes not, its just me" JR stated.

JohnRoss lay back again and closed his eyes.

JR continued to watch his son then walked out of the room, Sue Ellen stood in the corridor.

"What the hell are you doing here Sue Ellen? Haven't you got a company to run? Oh I forgot you ruined that too, aren't they foreclosing on the loan today?" he stated

Sue Ellen smiled sarcastically.

"I`m here to see my son JR and you can`t stop me" Sue Ellen grinned as two men walked up next to her followed by Sue Ellens detective Monroe.

JR sniggered "I see you brought your private army with you Sue Ellen, how nice"

"You went too far this time JR, but I`ll have the last laugh" Sue Ellen said.

"I doubt that" JR said.

Sue Ellen smiled "I guess you haven't seen the papers JR, " Sue Ellen turned to a page in the newspaper and gave it to JR.

"Looks like someone or some people have brought a large amount of Westar stock JR, perhaps you should keep your mind focused on your own business rather other peoples" Sue Ellen grinned.

JR looked at the paper and smiled "oh Im not bothered about this" he said calmly walking off

He reached outside the hospital and took out his mobile phone in a rage and rang a number.

"Its me JR ....what in gods name is going on? Someone will be on the block for this"

he said in a rage of anger.

Lucy sat by the pool, looking thoughtful. Miss Ellie walked out over to her.

"You ok Lucy?" Ellie asked

Lucy looked up and smiled "Im fine grandma" she stood up.

"I was just thinking, what should I do now" Lucy said

"What do you mean?" Ellie asked.

"Well I didn't plan on staying this long when I came home, and now Im thinking perhaps its time I moved on" lucy said.

"Your not happy at Southfork?" Ellie asked.

Lucy laughed "I love Southfork its my home, but I feel like a loose end, just hanging in here, drifting in and out of Texas, out of jobs" Lucy said.

"And men?" Ellie smiled.

Lucy laughed.

"And men too....yes, I don`t know grandma, I`m getting to a stage in my life where I feel I have to make some decisions, some choices. I feel I spent my life on what ifs and what might have beens" Lucy explained seriously.

Miss Ellie nodded "are you talking about your mother and father?" she asked

Lucy smiled in an uncomfortable way.

"I guess so, I grew up here, I had everything, too much" she smiled and thought for a moment.

"Then alls I could think about was being part of a family, I guess I always felt rejected, and now my mom and dad have their own lives,I have a brother and sister I don`t even know, and Iv come to terms with the fact that thats how its destined to be. We sit around here, surrounded by all our wealth, power, we talk of legacies, that was mine, my legacy was laid out for me. I guess somewhere in me Im scared to commit, I don`t have a good track record do I? I just don`t know where I belong....................".

Miss Ellie looked thoughtful.

The Ewing Oil building stood tall as the morning sun reflected off its many windows.

Sue Ellen walked into the empty office. Peter Edwards from the First State Bank of Texas with some of his collegues was waiting for her.

He walked over to Sue Ellen.

"Im sorry Ms Ewing, we have repossession of Ewing Oil, all assets are frozen" he said.

Sue Ellen looked him with contempt.

"May I remind you the deadline for the repayment is at 11am, right now you are trespassing" she said.

He laughed. "I can wait Ms Ewing"

"I suggest you do" she stated and walked past him, into her office.

The chair in her office was facing towards the window, the chair swung around and JR sat there smiling.

"Well hello Sue Ellen" he said with a gleeful smile.

"You bastard JR" she said viciously.

JR stood up and walked over to her.

"Iv waited a long time for this Sue Ellen, now its mine, all mine" he said.

"Not quite yet JR" Sue Ellen said.

JR laughed.

"Don't avoid the inevitable, you lost Ewing Oil and in a few moments I will buy back Ewing Oil in its entirty from the bank, and then Sue Ellen I will make Ewing Oil back into a power, into a compnay my daddy would be proud of"

JR looked at his watch.

"And if im not mistaken unless you can come up with the money in the next 30 seconds Ewing Oil is mine"

Sue Ellen walked towards him.

"You can keep it JR, I don`t care anymore, to quote you JR theres more than one way to skin a cat" she said harshly.

"Is that a threat Sue Ellen, because if it is Id think very carfully before hand" JR said.

"Lets just say JR, the fat lady as far from sang her last song" Sue Ellen smiled.

"You can`t touch me Sue Ellen, I am the biggest power now Texas as ever seen, , head of Westar, and now I have Ewing Oil back in my grip" He said.

"Well I suggest you hold on tightly JR, your in for one hell of a ride" Sue Ellen explained viciously.

"There may be a few problems at Westar right now but I have my people working on that as we speak, in fact Im going to have to go soon, after Iv tied up all loose ends here" JR looked at his watch "which I think has just happened." JR smiled.

Peter walked into the office.

Sue Ellen looked at him then at JR.

Sue Ellen walked over to the banker and looked at him and smiled. The man looked back at her confused.

"You know your problem JR " Sue Ellen stated "you underestimate me"

JR sat down "oh no Sue Ellen you underestimate me, but I don`t think you`ll be doing that again" he replied.

Sue Ellen smiled "we`ll see" she said and winked at him. She left the office.

Peter walked over to JR and took out some papers.

"Just sign here JR and Ewing Oil is all yours" he said handing JR a pen.

"Thats ok I have my own" JR said taking a pen from his pocket "right......., now this all looks in order"

JR signed the paper. Peter Edwards looked at the document and smiled and shook JR`s hand.

"Welcome back JR " he said.

JR thanked him and the two men walk out the office. The man leaves. JR stands next to the doorway. EWING OIL is written on the glass in gold text.
