Cliff Barnes returns to Dallas
Dallas star Ken Kercheval has signed up for three episodes of the TNT series revealed TV Guide.
Ken played JR’s long standing arch enemy in the original series and was last seen going off into the sunset with Afton Cooper (Audrey Landers) in the TV movie JR Returns.
So it looks like the Barnes Ewing feud is back on as he plays out a pivotal role in the series cliffhanger.
Rumor has it that Cliff is related to one of the Ewing cousin girlfriends. But which one?
I guess we will have to wait until Summer 2012 to find out.
Kercheval should be in for more than three episodes, as the other vets, need to keep the mix of vets and the new cast if they want it to continue, as so many comebacks have failed. Always looked forward to the Ewing BBQ fight usually breaks out and someone ends up in the pool, it was usually Barnes.

Also for Cliff’s sister Katherine Wentworth (Morgan Brittany) a comeback would be very welcome!!!

I’m so happy that the show’s history is being honored and that this is still “Dallas”, as in a continuation, rather than a reboot. I would really like it if Christopher’s fiance, Rebecca turned out to be Cliff’s daughter, Rebecca. That just makes sense. I’m glad that Cliff will be back for a while. Now, if only Pam would return, I truly would be over the moon with joy. Thank you, TNT, for bringing my favorite television show of all time back!
Wow – I wasn’t aware that Ken Kercheval was still alive. Given how he looked in the JR Returns movie back in ’96 I was certain his days were numbered. Glad he’s returning to Dallas. It will rekindle the epic Barnes-Ewing fued.
