This is a crucial piece of casting,  afterall Ann is the wife of Bobby Ewing.

With Melissa Gilbert now out of the picture, we await news of Brenda taking the role

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

Victoria will never return so lets move on. Bobby with Sue Ellen would be great?

If the show is a success then this could certainly happen.

Definitely a story that could be of great interest to the older fans and be a story that runs underneath the bigger picture if you catch my drift.

Why not i say! But maybe a late season 1 or season 2 stor – let the show breath please first.

I was hopimg that Melissa Gilbert was gonna be the one but I would love to see Sheree or Victoria come back. What about Linda and Larry are they gonna have them together or are they married so other people as well.

When Sheree’s April character at first was a golddigger who slept with J.R., it was their initial plan to have her for one season only just like every other golddigger who slept with J.R. Then when they realized that Victoria was never coming back they immediately decided to plan on April to be the next Mrs. Bobby Ewing by transforming her into a very warm person all because Sheree has been a very easy-going person to work with. They put her April character through a three-year hellish process to be Bobby’s wife by having her making it big on her own, getting beaten up by Tommy McKay, following Bobby to Vienna, and even a having a jelous sister of hers in their way. Sheree got pregnant just before Bobby’s wedding and wanted some maternity time. Then Katzman killed her off all because they knew that it was the final season which turned out to be Katzman’s only regret because he never thought that there could be any reunions and revivals. Therefore, Sheree deserves the job because why should she be the one to pay the price for other people’s mistake in which they regret.

I know her as an actress….but I would love that Victoria Principal (Pam Ewing) is coming back to the original cast…….I shar my opinion with John’s.

I dont understand why Victoria Principal doesnt just get over the past and return to her rightful place on Dallas. And if shes not the one doing the foot dragging, then the company should front the money to bring her back. It should never be disputed that her charecter was integral and necessary to the originality of DALLAS.

I like her, but what’s with all the casting coming from Desperate Housewives?

It is a brilliant idea. I love Brenda in Desperate Housewives…
She will be great as Bobby’s wife.
    Hope she will sign… NOW!

Alright, this is getting stupid. We have had Annette O’Toole, Melissa Gilbert and now Brenda Strong. Give us the person who is going to play Ann Ewing!! Also, what about any of the other original characters? Are any of them going to be in pilot?

Enough of this Ann Ewing. Just bring back Sheree Wilson as Bobby’s wife April alive. Many killed off TV characters have been brought back alive with Bobby being one of them, and there are many ways of doing that. That Bobby-April couple was a classical TV couple just like Miss Ellie-Clayton/Jock. April unlike Ann dates back to a Ewing family history in order to be a Miss Ellie-type family matriarch.

Great choice! She’s got a wonderful, soft and husky voice and presence. She strongly (!) reminds me of Miss Elie…A warm smile and a brightness in her eyes… She should be a perfect new matriarch…
