Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

I hope we get to see JR finally regain control of Ewing Oil. If my memory is correct, Bobby bought it from Cliff at the end of the last reunion movie.

Well folks there will be a episode that the Ewing family will now know that Pam ranned away to only die later. I hope the Cliff Character comes back and if so that is going to be 1 big scene.

Can you imagine in this new show that Pam is brought back to be buried near place of residence. Where does the Ewing crew live at. My understanding is that Southfork was sold to Carter McKay. Wonder if they are living at the former McKay,Krebbs, and Stevens ranch.

Great News. Wouldn’t be Dallas without J.R. Ewing. What about Victoria Principal and Charlene Tilton? I’m really looking forward to this because they are including the original cast. They are not forgetting about the history of the show and it’s long time fans.

I don’t think Victoria will ever come back because her chracter was dying of a skin condition related to being blown up. Of course if a severe burn victim leaves the hospital the more likely you can get a infection and can die. Possibly the only way you are going to see Victoria come back is her character coming back to be buried. When Dallas producers decided to bring back Patrick that was the beginning of the end of the Dallas Series. Then the Knots Landing producers knew if they told their fans there previous season was a dream then Knots Landing would of been over 2 years sooner.

Why can’t they get the original guys who played John Ross Jnr & Christopher to reprise their roles? Plus, please don’t recast Sue Ellen Ewing……Linda Grey please come back.

Kevin Costner is far much older then the Christopher character. Sorry Janice Jones Kevin Costner won’t be in the new Dallas. But I think he has TNT. One problem there is no TNT anymore and I think the call letters are goffed up. TNT officially retired nearly 10 years ago by the new owners.

Tom Welling, Josh Hartnett or Hayden Christiansen would also be great choices for Christopher Ewing. But, the number one actor the directors should look at for Christopher Ewing should overwhelmingly be JAMES LAFFERTY.

-I watched every episode of Dallas over and over since childhood. Lafferty should be in the remake period.

I, for one, can hardly wait until I see this pilot! I just hope that the public will support the show, so we may have many more episodes. Also I hope that TNT will promote the pilot well for the same reasons. Thanks to all the cast for doing this for us!

Larry Hagman has always been great playing J.R. in the past like any nice guy who can adapt to playing a bad guy. So I say he should still play him!

I hope we don’t get disappointed. Just a few years ago I got into the reruns of Dallas and became hooked. But with all the reboots they have done lately from old tv shows they are not nearly as successful as their predecessors. I am hoping TNT proves me wrong.

why don’t they get the original actors to play Jon Ross and Christopher?

Actually from memory, wouldn’t J.R. even have a third child? Wasn’t Cally pregnant and then left him? He hired a private detective to track her down and then saw her with the baby and a new man in her life and decided to leave her alone. I think I have that right.

I am so curious to see how this goes and whether or not they can recapture the magic that was Dallas. Obviously there will be the next generation with John Ross and Christopher but I wonder if they will also choose the rest of J.R.’s extended family with James Beaumont? Based on time passed, J.R’s grandson (Jimmy?) would have to be nearly 20 as well and so could be a character that could be developed. In the TV movies it seemed as if they were distancing themselves from that side of J.R.
