Cynthia Cidre to write new Dallas
By admin On 7 December 2009 In Dallas 2.0 News
Warner Horizon have approached Cane writer Cynthia Cidre to pen the new Dallas series rumored to air on TNT next year.
It is not currently known if original cast members will reprise their roles, although the press revealed that Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy were approached for the project, this was not actually the case for at least one of the beforementioned who only knew about the project after it was revealed in the press.
In addition to creating and executive producing the Latino family drama “Cane,” Cidre wrote and executive produced the A&E pilot “Danny Fricke” and penned the feature “Mambo Kings

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
As I website possessor I believe the content material here is rattling great , appreciate it for your efforts. You should keep it up forever! Good Luck. 296365
i would love to be on that writing team. i love to write soap poeras and i Love Dallas! this could be great! call me
I’VE GOT A GREAT IDEA. WITH PATRICK DUFFY BEING CASTED AS BOBBY PRESUMED TO BE IN THE JOCK TYPE ROLE SHEREE AS APRIL WOULD MAKE A GREAT MISS ELLIE TYPE ROLE. THE EPISODE SHOULD BEGIN BY REPLAYING APRIL’S GUN DOWN AND FUNERAL SCENES THEN BOBBY WAKES UP FROM HIS DREAM WHILE STILL ON THEIR HONEYMOON IN PARIS AS APRIL IS TAKING A SHOWER. THEN AS BOBBY APPROACHES THE SHOWER (WITH BOBBY AND APRIL’S FAMOUS SAXOPHONE SONG BEING PLAYED IN THE BACKGROUND) APRIL SAYS TO BOBBY WITH HER SOFT VOICE, “COME IN. BABY!” WITH HER POINTING FINGER INDICATING THE DIRECTION. THEN BOBBY REPLIES, “APRIL?” AND THEN FAINTS. THEN THE “DALLAS” THEME SONG IMMEDIATELY BEGINS WITH THE CREDITS. THEN AFTERWARDS THERE IS A SUBTITLE MENTIONING “20 YEARS LATER.” KNOWING THAT THE NEW “DALLAS” SERIES IS PRESUMED TO HAVE CHRISTOPHER AND JOHN ROSS FEUDING THE SERIES SHOULD ALSO FEATURE A TEENAGE DAUGHTER OF BOBBY AND APRIL WHO WOULD BE IN THE LUCY TYPE ROLE.
I GREW UP WATCHING “DALLAS” AS MY FAVORITE SHOW WITH BOBBY EWING AS MY ROLE MODEL AND THAT THE BOBBY-APRIL COUPLE WAS MY FAVORITE TV COUPLE SINCE SHE WAS THE MOST SUPPORTIVE WOMAN BOBBY EVER HAD DELIGHTING HIM WITH HER SENSE OF HUMOR. IT WAS THE SADDEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN ON TELEVISION WHEN APRIL WAS GUNNED DOWN, AND I STILL COULD NOT GET OVER APRIL’S DEATH. INSTEAD OF KILLING APRIL OFF IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THAT APRIL WAS KID-NAPPED AND MISSING ALL SEASON LONG WHILE BOBBY AFTER RETURNING HOME ALONE FROM HIS HONEYMOON SENDS MEN TO SEARCH FOR APRIL. THEN AT THE END OF THAT FINAL SEASON BOBBY GETS WORD THAT APRIL HAS BEEN RESCUED AND IS RETURNING HOME SAFELY.
I used to watch this show, when it was new,and every time it was on tv.We came here to care for my folks, and we would watch it every evening, and it got to where we all laughed at things at the very same time!!I miss it,and think that a return movie/mini-series,or anything, will sell, sell, sell!!!I hope you can pull it off! sincerely, with much appreciation,J.R.Seabolt
Why did they ever cancel this show!!! Need a comeback!!
It would be great if there is new Dallas series. Would prefer the original cast like Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal be in it. I would love to watch real TV but with the original cast.
Hi All, In this Day and Age, We could have Computer Generatered ACTORS of the Past on the Big Screen in the SOUTHERN CROSS – CROSSROADS of the WORLD Lounge Room to Talk Too To. Example – ( Hi Jock, J.R. Here, We are Merging With WestStar ) – JOCK ( J.R. You haven’t Learned a Thing ). A Must for Family Back-Up
Opp’s, ‘Southern Cross’ should be ‘South Fork’
bring th oringnal cast back, and add a few new ones, people want it as close to what it used to be,even punk anderson is still living, with a few memorys past shown th pilot episode will be a hit.in other words you can’t change dallas to much or it will a bomb.j.r.,sue-ellen,bobby,ray,lucy,pam,cliff,donna etc, you have plenty to work with.even tho its not quite th same without jock, miss ellie,or clayton but there pixrs around will be just like there still at southfork.
New Dallas could be great. Dallas as it was has many things to improve :} We want more hot love scenes for sure haha and more evolve JR. He doesnt have to be evil.., he just can be bad :}} People really would like him haha Bobby has to be unfaithful, at least once
and things like that.. anyway they know what it takes.
I’m sure if done properly it could be great series. And def not the original cast.. They were great, but I just wish it would be more like Damages and less like Bold and beautiful
D If you know what I mean
It is well impractical to plan a continuation of Dallas, but no confirmation that the original actors have signed the contract.
I wish Alan Ball would help co-write as well (Six Feet Under and True Blood)
That would be awesome if they brought “Dallas” back. We need a good evening “soap” to watch at night. In order for it to be a hit again, they would definately have to have JR, Bobby, Sue Ellen, Pam and Cliff. The original series went downhill after Victoria Principal left the show. I do not think any of them have done anything on TV lately and I am sure if they were offered a generous salary, they would come back to the show.
They could write a cool storyline involing Pams return and have all of the kids (Christpher, John Ross, Lucas and the other kids) grown up and running the family business and getting in on the drama.
Enough with all the reality shows, time to bring back real TV.
The cane series was great so Cynthia Cidre would be a great writer for the new Dallas. I hope some of the original cast join the new series. I especially would love Linda Gray,Larry Hagman or Patrick Duffy. I don’t think it will compare to the original Dallas, but I will tune in and give it a chance. Thanks again ultimateDallas.com
