We can’t confirm any of the rumors at the moment but you may expect the Dallas Ewings back on your tv secreens in the near future.

Warner Brothers are in discussions to bring the show back to TV after 18 years.

Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy could reprise their roles alongside a new generation of younger actors. The pilot could potentially air on TNT in 2010 with the option for a full series.

My friends and I meet every Friday evening in the winter to watch DALLAS on dvd. If this show aired again we would be thrilled. We will all be waiting to hear if this is going to happen!

    PLEASE BRING BACK DALLAS!

  • Steven says:

    Where are auditions???!!!!!!

  • David says:

Would be great if they set up a production company and called it LORIMAR, to produce the new Dallas series. This would be brilliant!!

  • Ridge says:

PLEASE, PLEASE 1000X I SAY PLEASE BRING DALLAS BACK. IT MUST HAVE PATRICK, VICTORIA. LARRY , LINDA , CHARLENE, STEVE, MARIE, AND SUSAN for it to succeed. Pay them what ever it take to get the series on AGAIN. Maybe a plot that would bring KNOTS LANDING cast to Dallas for the Ewing BBQ or the Oil Barron’s Ball.

  • Dave I says:

    Hi All,
J.R. said to John Ross, there Will be a Big Executive Chair when you come Out of College.

  • phil says:

THAT WOULD BE THE BEST IF DALLAS WOULD BE BROUGHT BACK TO TV NOTHING SINCE HAS BEEN AS GOOD AS THAT SHOW WAS ONLY 18NWHEN IT CAME OUT AND THAT SHOW KEPT ME AT HOME EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT TILL TEN CAN’T WAIT.

  • Jan-Erik Lindblom says:

    Hi all,

That was one of the best news this year! Hope it can be real. As one say “Not without JR, Bobby” and I will add Sue Ellen and Cliff.
We have somthing to look forward too.

    J-E Lindblom Sweden

  • JD says:

I wonder if this New Dallas TV Show will be where the Ewings are the Alternative Energy Company instead of the Oil company.

  • Anna says:

Wow …how good would it be if Dallas is brought back… it wouldn’t be the same without JR and Bobby… there are so many storylines which can be created and maybe the public could write in and say what they would like to happen. I started watching dallas on UK Gold 3 years ago and it always shown season 2-3 and repeated the next year. Ive now purchased all the DVD’s and Im upto Season 11… its on its way to me and I can’t wait to watch what happens….Dallas is all about lives within a dream reality…better than a Soap.. BRING BACK DALLAS… It will be the best thing ever.

    Anna, England.

  • majestic says:

I loved dallas back in the 80’s but I seriously doubt it will last in this generation with programs like dancing with the stars, american idol and csi ..I really think they need to let dallas rest because I would hate for it to try and compete with these programs and get axed after a week. Warner Brothers pls reconsider and don’t let dallas be another remake of knight rider which was axed after a month!

    • Dave I says:

Hi majestic, Thanking you for your opinion. The Stars are Dancing in Dallas Too. Also Dallas has Singers as Well. J.R. is Good at Getting the Police on the Job as Well. I say Dallas went alot further than Knight Rider. In my Considered Opinion, Dallas Will Shake Up the Industry. Dave I.

  • Rick says:

I was a huge fan of Dallas up until about 1989 and the last season was aweful, especially the series finale. After Victoria Principal and Linda Gray left the show it just went downhill fast. It would be cool if they brought it back, but they would have to have a good pilot and storyline to attract the old and new viewers. When Dallas was at its peak, it was about the Bobby and Pam love story, their fueding families and of course J.R. and his antics.

If this new Dallas generation does happen, they definately need to have Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal. I am sure if they offered Victoria a good deal financially, she would come back. After all, what has she done lately. I don’t think anything.

    Opening Pilot:

The Ewing boys all grown up and running an oil company,an interesting storyline with Pams return, Sue Ellen in politics, etc, etc. Something for the producers to think about.

    • Artie says:

With the potential of bringing back one of TV”s greatest series, I am ecstatic. A great story line of bringing back the Ewing’s, JR and Bobby with their sons John Ross and Christopher either against each other or working together under the guidence of their Fathers,JR and Bobby against all odds and of course the Huge Global oil markets. How is this for a twist. The Ewing offspring working together with the Son and the Daughter of old Cliff Barnes with Jr’s son falling in love with the Barns Girl..The possibilities are endless…

    • wallace says:

dallas was my favorite show,i hope they do bring it back, however,i hope they make it like the first 5 seasons, after that it went down hill, especially when donna reed replaced miss ellie.

  • BEileen says:

I started buying the season DVD’d of Dallas last Christmas for my husband who is a big fan, and have up to season 11 now. I never watched it in its original showing except for the who shot JR cliffhanger but am so hooked. I can’t wait until Jan when season twelve is released on dvd and when the new series comes out.

  • simon dredge says:

Wonderful news. Please could you keep us all updated with this fantastic news. This is so the right time to bring back the only number one soap of the world. The 1st and the best Bring it on Dallas!!!

  • Debbie says:

I have always enjoy watching Dallas and I sure miss it. I do hope that it can return to TV. I thank you you for letting me comment and have a grat day.

  • debbie says:

    I LUV DALLAS,,MAKE IT HAPPEN!

  • Matt says:

Does anyone have anymore up to date info on this? If this is true, I would very much like to audition to be on the next Generation of Dallas. I am a struggling actor, and would be so upset if I didn’t do anything and everything I could to at least try to get on my favorite shows of all time. Anybody know anything else?

    • Dave I says:

Hi Matt, Good Luck and I Will Bale My Father J.R. out.( being the Secret Son of J.R.) With the ‘Deeds’ for the Full Ownership of All OIL in TEXAS.

  • Ashley says:

We’ve been imagining a great Dallas comeback. Now that it is a possibility, this is fabulous news. With a new generation of Ewings, it should make for intriguing storylines…also, with technology like cellphones, internet..which was lacking in the original storylines. Also, if they keep the opening music somewhat the same…we need some originality in that was also. Dallas will be a hit all over again, I’m sure.

    • Dave I says:

Great Work Ashley, Yes A New Computer for J.R. and Bobby would Liven them Up Hey. As for A Internet Cell Phone Each would be Doing Deals on the Run. ‘SUPER DALLAS’ is Just around the Corner.

  • Jan-Erik Lindblom says:

    Hi,

I follow Dallas when I was young, at that time in Sweden and nowdays in a age of fifty, I have the moviebox to remember.
A new start of a new generation Dallas is a dream, hope it will be true.

  • Corey says:

I’m 35 years old from Maryland. I just love Dallas. I have every season available on DVD and I’m awaiting the release of Season 12. I really hope the Ewings and Barnes’ return to TV. Dallas wouldn’t be Dallas without JR and Cliff fighting among each other. As for new characters, Bobby’s son Lucas by Jenna, Ray’s daughter Margeret by Donna, JR’s son by Callie, plus John Ross, Christopher, and Pamela Rebecca Cooper (Cliff’s daughter by Afton). I’m sure there is plenty of new talent to go around. It should be interesting to see how that all pans out.

Plus, at Southfork Ranch in the museum, there is a family tree which list all sorts of new players in the Ewing and Barnes clans.

    PLEASE BRING DALLAS BACK!!!

  • Diane says:

This would be fantastic ! Cannot not wait !

  • Christiaan says:

JR as a secret son with Cally too, right ??

  • Franco Jager says:

I just can’t wait!!!! Here in the Netherlands Warner Bros. cancelled the DVD-releases of the series from season 7. I hope, because maybe Dallas will return with new series, Warner Bros. Netherlands will release the DVD of Dallas Season 7 through 14 with Dutch subtitles.

  • Mike says:

Wow. What an idea this is. I am a “MAJOR” fan of Dallas. But one thing concerns me. If it is just going to be Jr, Sue Ellen, & Bobby returning in 2010 for a new series, where would “Cliff Barnes” be?. Jr “HAS” to have Cliff come back. Cause who else will he have to fight, downgrade, and compete with? Dallas is the 1 show of all time. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

  • Linda says:

I’m 61 and have been waiting a long time for them to bring back the Dallas Family. There are enough younger Ewings to bring it back to life and keep old feuds going. Bobby’s son by Jenna is a whole storyline right there. Looking forward to the pilot in 2010.

  • jeff wilson says:

Dallas was and will always be #1 as far as I’m concerned. At its lowest, it was still the most entertaining program on…never missed an episode!

  • Erin says:

I think that if they bring Dallas back it won’t be the same as the original but it would be cool to see the next generation of Ewings and see how everyone turned out.

Is Jr the same business-man he was before?
Is Bobby the “good” Ewing anymore?
    How is Sue Ellen doing?
Will Gary, Val, Pam, Ray, and Lucy be back?

  • simon dredge says:

Well we all want this to happen big time, and it will work ,it will be a real big hit. Thanks to all the fans around the world, and this web site. And Dallas being such an iconic part in all are lives. And all the actors who made it so real. I thank you all.

  • Will says:

I hate to say it. But this is not going to work.

    1. NOBODY CAN REPLACE LEONARD KATZMAN – COME ON! WHO WE KIDDING! THE NEW PRODUCERS PROBABLY NEVER WORSHIPPED OR WATCHED THE SHOW LIKE US FANS.

    2. CAN’T REPLACE ORIGINAL CAST WITH A NEW ONE: ESPECIALLY J.R. (LARRY HAGMAN)

    3. EVERYONE IS GREEN TODAY; ANTI-OIL INDUSTRY, WHOSE GOING TO BE INTERESTED IN A SHOW ABOUT OIL TODAY? ESPECIALLY AFTER THE LONG BUSH REIN IN THE PRESIDENT SEAT.

    • Dave I says:

Hi Will, they say there could be a come back – if they do I say it will be a Hit. Doctor Who and James Bond have New Charactors. J.R. stopped a Wind and Solar Farm in the Past. Today we use Oil still and Dallas can go Green Too.

  • Christopher Korman says:

If Warner brothers is smart they allow L.Hagman and Patrick duffy and L.Grey have some say in Casting. If W.B is going to cast cast actors that resemble and capture the personas of the parents instead of going with big names or commerical actors who don’t remind you of Larry and Patrick and Linda Grey. That would be a mistake.

  • Steven Dixon says:

This is a great idea, and for all who say Victoria Principal should return would totally phase out the idea of a reboot with younger characters. The show needs to bring in the loyal fans with Hagman, Gray, Duffy and Kerchaval. There would be too much storyline on Pam’s return to get the new storylines for the younger generation off the ground. The new fans would tune in to see what everyone is talking about and the glamour and sex which surly will follow in the original season footsteps. But bringing back Pam and the storylines to follow would really like giving Dallas a Complete 15 season. We need Hagman, Gray and Duffy to be main stars along side the new ones and the other original series cast guest stars and 2 or 3 episode arc per season. Overall I think a new Dallas series is what all the original fans need and all the new followers would want.

    • Joel says:

I have to disagree about Victoria Principal. The loyal fans of the original Dallas series are still waiting for closure with regard to Pam’s exit from the show. I would love for Bobby to finally be re-united with his one true love, Pamela Barnes. Is the character still alive? Unfortunately for all of us, I doubt that Victoria would ever agree to do a new Dallas series. She seems to have washed her hands of that part of her life. I was surprised when she agreed to appear on the unscripted reunion show. J.R., Sue Ellen, Bobby, and Pam were the soul of Dallas. There is room for all of them, leading a brand new generation.

  • Dave I says:

Hi All, We are really getting going with the ‘New Dallas Script’, (While we are waiting for season 12 to come out). Now J.R.(JOCK)has a New Plan that takes Everybody by Surprise, he Finds Deed’s which gives him Complete Ownership of all Oil in TEXAS.

  • George says:

    Wow awesome news -
i agree with everyone when – let it happen – all i watch on tv is heroe, brothers and sisiters and desperate housewives – all the rest is the just the same over and over – when i think of a soap or a drama Dallas is the 1st that always comes to mind – Bobby, JR and Sue Ellen are TV icons and we sure do need them back –

the way the charachter of Sue Ellen blossoms during the run of the show is spectecular – she deserves to be the new reigning matriarch of south fork a true successor to Miss Ellie – there are so man scenerios with all the different roles from old ad new charachter that we already know and love the show would have a good 5 season run!

  • Phil K says:

    Opening scene for new show:

Christoper and Afton’s daughter driving down a Texas road in a 2010 Mercedes sl 600 convertable on their way to Southfork to tell everyone they just got married.

Bobby and wife Jenna Wade and daughter are living at Southfork with J.R. Senior and new wife (the new Miss Ellie) and John Ross (New J.R.). Larry Hagman can play the role of Jock.

You could have Cliff and Afton married with a son who can play the role of the the old Cliff who always wanted to destroy Ewing Oil.

    • Frank says:

      Bad, Bad, Bad.

Why would you want Christopher to marry Cliff’s daughter? They are cousins. If anyone should marry a Barnes it should be John Ross.

And there would be no Dallas:The Next Generation for me unless the new Jock and Miss Ellie are JR and SUE ELLEN.

Brink back Linda Gray and Larry Hagman and put them together. A lil more mello but still filled with sarcasm and humor.

  • Chris Feldman says:

I might be in the minority, but I think making Christopher and Lucas Wade the primary leads would work better than Christopher and John Ross. You then have Bobby’s biological son pitted against his adopted son, even though Christopher always had the “son” role in Bobby’s life. John Ross and Christopher were never really rivals. Plus, J.R. wasn’t involved in Ewing Oil anymore as of the last TV movie. He was running Westar. Maybe you could have John Ross interested only in Ewing Oil, not the oil business, and that prompts J.R. to try reacquiring it for him, leading to conflict with Bobby/Christopher.

  • Joel says:

At first, I thought this seemed too good to be true. Now I am actually letting myself believe that it may happen! I would love to watch J.R., Bobby, and Sue Ellen in a new Dallas series alongside John Ross, Christopher, and maybe J.R.’s eldest son, James Ewing. I would also like to see Cliff and Afton’s daughter, Pamela Barnes, romancing either John Ross or Christopher.

  • TrekVar says:

FANTASTIC NEWS, ”DALLAS”RETORN TO TV ….. A NEW GENERATION WITH LARRY HAGMAN,PATRICK DUFFY,LINDA GRAY, KEN KERCHEVAL……AND YOUNGERS ACTORS…..

  • Jeff says:

YES, I so HOPE this happens. I am so tired of all the silly reality shows and how many CSI’s can a person take in a week, if a person wants to see murders and such just turn on the evening news. Shows like Dallas let us all ESCAPE from the “everday” at least for an hour, into a world that most of us could only emagine. And with all the terrible things going on around the world and the economy (a movie ticket now is a luxury I cant afford on a regular basis) it would be nice to have that escape at home on my television once a week. Warner Brothers made a fortune and still does in repeats off of shows like DALLAS, KNOTS LANDING and FALCON CREST. Bring back ALL of these GREAT shows. There is still a HUGE audience new/old waiting for something other than what’s on. Drama’s are makeing a comback, look at Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife, Brothers And Sisters. These shows have a huge loyal audience, however; shows like CSI(The Franchise of the three Miami, N.Y. and Las Vegas) as well as the Law And Order’s and even the once sucessful reality shows, Dancing With The Stars, American Idol just to name a few have LOST RATEINGS and audiences are TIRED of them they have lost QUALITY. Even Jay Leno on prime time @ 10p.m. 5 nights a week is KILLING NBC’s rateings. This is NOT just my opinion but based on Neilsons Rateings FACT’s. Wake Up NETWORKS BRING BACK the Oldies but Goodies AUDIENCES are starving for them.

  • Jeff says:

SUPER idea, HOPE it happens. Of course Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy and (HOPEFULLY)Victoria Principal MUST BE INCLUDED. They dont seem to be doing anything on t.v. these were main characters and as a LOYAL FAN for 13 seasons I would feel cheated if these four ORIGIONAL cast members were not involved and look forward to the new generation characters as well.

  • Kjell says:

    Great! I can“t wait!

  • martin-james says:

that would be great news for all U.S fans ! • L.. C. says:

I hope this is true. I’d love to see Larry as JR again. Best TV series EVER!!!

  • Renny Latour says:

I hope this is real! especially if Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy are back. The show will be a hit! Again! Cannot wait.

  • Andi says:

I hope it happens. I was just a kid when Dallas was on, but used to watch with my parents and grandparents. I watched the whole series over again when it ran on SoapNet. It is truly one of the best prime time soap operas ever and one of my all time favorite shows. I hope it comes back with more than just Linda, Larry and Patrick. I hope they put together as much of the original cast as possible. I also hope the writing is as good as the first couple of seasons! If the people from Warner Brothers are reading this, please bring it back! JR has to be one of my favorite TV characters of all time. He was so bad, but so easy to love!

  • nick bennett says:

    please let this be true

brilliant news lets hope its true

  • KB says:

  • John says:

Freaking SWEET! I can’t wait to start a new generation on Dallas. This would be fabulous!

  • STEVEY says:

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS REALLY HAPPEN. BEST NEWS EVER

  • Catherine Collins says:

We need to see a lot more of Linda Gray, on TV….

  • Dianne says:

    BEST NEWS IN YEARS!!!!! :)

Want to see Sasha Mitchell in the next series continuation!!!!!

    Need to rebroadcast original show!!!!!

    • Denny says:

ABSOLUTELY! DALLAS is the best show ever if we can continue to have soaps around like Young and the Restless PLEASE BRING BACK DALLAS! And work very hard and rest of course but just tape and tape and tape and make hundreds and hundreds of more episodes while Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, and Patrick Duffy are still alive.

Would love to see as many of the original actors and actresses as possible, but yes bring new and younger characters to the show as well especially Sasha Mitchell.

Keep up the good work on releasing the rest of the DVD releases for the original series and release the new series on DVD as well if it comes out. And DO NOT forget the Dallas Reunion Movies on DVD too.

Thank you and hope it all happens!
