JR Ewing back on TV
We can’t confirm any of the rumors at the moment but you may expect the Dallas Ewings back on your tv secreens in the near future.
Warner Brothers are in discussions to bring the show back to TV after 18 years.
Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy could reprise their roles alongside a new generation of younger actors. The pilot could potentially air on TNT in 2010 with the option for a full series.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.
Good day, fellow, im 100% agree with you!
Thank you for the good writeup. It if truth be told was once a entertainment account it. Look complicated to more delivered agreeable from you! However, how can we keep in touch?
Great website – I really like it!
This blog is perfect for our art history classes and art studio program. We have trouble getting high quality useable content from the conservation field/profession and this blog provides very interesting articles, videos and links to other similar sites and info. We use this site as a teaching tool and keep coming back as it is updated often.
I must express some thanks to you just for bailing me out of this particular matter. Because of looking out throughout the internet and finding principles that were not beneficial, I was thinking my entire life was well over. Existing minus the strategies to the problems you have solved as a result of your main article is a crucial case, as well as ones that might have in a negative way damaged my career if I hadn’t noticed your blog. Your primary competence and kindness in playing with the whole lot was crucial. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t come across such a subject like this. I can also at this time relish my future. Thanks a lot very much for your professional and amazing guide. I will not think twice to refer your blog post to any person who should have guidance on this issue.
Just that is necessary. An interesting theme, I will participate.
Unquestionably imagine that that you said. Your favourite reason seemed to be on the web the easiest factor to take into account of. I say to you, I certainly get annoyed while other people think about worries that they just don’t recognise about. You managed to hit the nail upon the highest as smartly as outlined out the whole thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal. Will likely be again to get more. Thanks
My brother recommended I might like this web site. He was totally right. This post actually made my day. You can not imagine simply how much time I had spent for this info! Thanks!
I just watched a rerun of Naked Gun on HBO yesterday. and now I read about his passing very sad indeed.
If they kill off J.R. They will kill off all the old watchers of the original. He makes that series what it is!!! The episode he dies….. I never watch it again!!! He is the man everyone loves to hate. Hell i would have voted for him for President.
Please don’t run it against Desperate Housewives, I use to watch Dallas all the time but, I also won’t miss Desperate Housewives!!!
Lucy, Ray, Jenna, Bobby, Sue Ellen, JR, John Ross III, Christopher are all returning. Casting is done as well as filming.
It was such an unforgettable show, for me, one of the best ever that I still miss so much. With the propensity of reality shows these days I wish so much for a show like Dallas to be on TV. I hope the remake does well.
iloved theold show because iwas in love with bobby can they bring back theold dalleas inprimetime thank youfor a wonderful program aurora harmon iam also big fan of daLLAESS
Filming is happening now for the pilot!
They will do this and see how its received. If want it to stay on, even if you can’t watch – turn on your TVs and TIVOs, watch it online soon after it airs (if we can – don’t know about that), etc., etc. The higher the viewership, the better chance we have of this getting taken up! Would hate to loose Dallas to some “reality” show!
I heard they are still casting and more than likely will shoot the pilot and then see if it’s “bankable”. I think it would be a huge hit, introducing the show to a younger generation. Just hope it doesn’t stray to far from the original series and keeps Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray and Larry Hagmon involved in the plot lines and not just extras. Wish they would include other characters on occasion such as Ray Krebbs, Gary Ewing, Cliff Barnes, Jenna Wade-Krebbs Charlie and Lucas Wade, Dusty Farlow, James and Jimmy Beaumont Punk and Mavis Anderson and maybe Donna Culver-Krebbs. They also need to use the same house and interior set layout to make it believable.
Filming is to begin this month. That usually means a August/Sept airing.
I cant wait….great to hear good television is coming back!!!!
MAKE SURE YOU LET US KNOW WHEN THE PILOT AIRS
I’m wondering if the new “Dallas” is going to ge any good or not. They certainly are taking their time about getting it on the air and are being very secretive about it.
Gracias.
The funniest episode (in my opinion) was when JR and Bobby left their offices with a case of wine. The elevator broke down on the way to the ground floor so the two of them began on the wine and ended up drunk!! Very funny!!
This is my favorite episode as well, it is the 300th episode, aptly titled 300. This was an interesting epidsode in more ways than one. It was extremely funny, especially, when Bobby makes JR write up all these I.O.U’s to purchase wine and rent the corkscrew from him. It also was an episode in which JR and Bobby formed a very formidable working team and develop a plan to try to beat Weststar out of it’s major sale of oil to a European conglomerate. The brothers actually found a common ground to work together in the oil business, even Cliff Barnes was involved. Too bad it didn’t last, JR just couldn’t resist trying to take the underhanded role. But, that was his nature.
It won’t be the same as the original Dallas 1978-1989!
So pleased to see Dallas back, but where is Pam?? Fingers crossed that Victoria Principal will sign up..it would be really great to see that love story have a happy ending.
when is it going to be showen in ireland
When will this new series start????
Good, I would love to see the show return. Will there be a “Pam”?
When is new Series of dallas on TNT Coming
I can’t wait for JR to send Sue Ellen on another 5-day alcoholic binge….Love Her!
Pam is dead. JR will be dead at the end of the pilot episode of the new Dallas.
I was thinking that, but I hate it! I do not know how they can bring Pam back anyway as everyone had moved on, especially Bobby.
I cant remember…but didnt she disappear in the carribean….no body right???
i wish it was coming out so that we could get it in Canada
I am a huge Dallas fan, and like Alan’s post, Bobby Ewing was my favorite character and role model on the show. And Bobby and Pam were my favorite couple. Victoria Principal is my lifelong crush and I am one of those who love the seasons with both of them. I hated the dream season and the show wasn’t the same when VP left. And I was also saddened when April was killed off during the honeymoon in the final season.
I’ve been hearing interesting rumors about this show. And I like the idea of this series focusing on the next generation. Only one thing, PLEASE KILL OFF PAMELA BARNES EWING FOR GOOD!!! Pam’s been gone long enough to be considered dead, and we all know Victoria will never return. I could see something like an officer or Private Investigator showing up at Southfork with some item to give to Bobby and it is confirmed that Pam died, whether it be recent or some years ago. That would provide some good conflict between Bobby and his new wife. It would also give everybody some final closure as far as Pam’s character is concerned.
The only rumor I’m not happy about is that Christopher may be gay. That doesn’t sit well with me. Of all characters, why Christopher? I’d rather it be Lucas. That way, there would be problems with Ray.
Anyway, that’s my two cents. I hope this show works, but I won’t be surprised if it doesn’t.
Cheers.
BRING DALLAS BACK SOON
leaks are being released and one major character from the old series will die. The character in question is JR Ewing. Word going around is JR Ewing will be killed off in the pilot. It aslso says many old cast will return for a wedding and a funeral.
The original post is dated October 9, 2009 and speaks of a rumor that Dallas might be returning in 2010. Well, I hate to be cynical but it is now 2011 and no sign of Dallas new or old seems to be surfacing. So may I refer you to the word “rumor” from the original post.
Dallas is indeed coming back. Read it on a reliable poet in hollywood news.
Linda Gray is NOT returning for the New Dallas. They are recasting Sue Ellen.
Linda has be to returning as Sue Ellen. There is no way they can recast that part! TV Guide already reported that Linda and Patrick signed. Where are you getting your info?
Bobby already owns Southfork. Christopher and John Ross own Ewing Oil thanks to Sue Ellen and Bobby.
I would just like to say and I HOPE someone connected to this show reads this. IF this show last for just one season and they know its gonna get canceled. MAKE SURE that the l;ast episode ends with JR owning Ewing Oil 100% out right and has his feet kicked up on his daddies desk looking at jocks picture and saying “I finally got it Daddy”
As hard as JR has fought his entire life to own his daddies company the last ..truly last episode of Dallas must be with JR owning the company. that is what it centered around from day 1. JR deserves ewing oil. Bobby deserves south fork. It can’t end any other way.
Annette O Toole has been casted as Bobby’s new wife ‘Ann Ewing’, Prescilla Presley is returning as Jenna Krebbs, Justin Hartley has been casted as Christopher Ewing, Larry Hagman as JR Ewing, Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing, Linda Gray as Sue Ellen Ewing. The role of John Ross Ewing as under way.
I GREW UP WATCHING “DALLAS” AS MY FAVORITE SHOW. BOBBY EWING WAS MY ROLE MODEL. BOBBY AND PAM WERE MY TV FAVORITE COUPLE. I WAS SADDENED EVERYTIME THE TWO WERE APART RANGING FROM THE FIRST DIVORCE TO PAM’S NIGHTMARE DEATH OF BOBBY TO PAM VANISHING.
LATER ON I EVEN LIKED THE BOBBY-APRIL COUPLE EVEN BETTER. THIS TIME I WAS HAPPIER TO SEE THAT BOBBY GOT SOMEONE WHO WAS EVEN MORE SUPPORTIVE OF HIM, AND APRIL ADDED A SENSE OF HUMOR TO THE SHOW. IT WAS THE SADDEST THING I’VE EVER SEEN ON TELEVISION WHEN APRIL WAS GUNNED DOWN LEAVING BOBBY DEVASTATED. IN FACT, I STILL COULD NOT GET OVER APRIL’S DEATH. SINCE THE CHARACTER OF PAM WASN’T OFICIALLY KILLED OFF IN ORDER TO LEAVE VICTORIA AN OPTION OF EVER RETURNING TO THE SHOW WHY DID THEY HAVE TO INSTANTLY KILL APRIL OFF? IT WAS UNFAIR TO SHEREE THAT SHE DIDN’T HAVE THE OPTION OF RETURNING TO THE SHOW ONE YEAR AFTER HER MATERNITY. I THOUGHT A LESSON WAS LEARNED FROM KILLING BOBBY OFF.
IF IT WAS ALREADY PLANNED FROM THE BEGINNING OF THAT SEASON TO BE THE FINAL SEASON OF “DALLAS” THEN INSTEAD OF KILLING APRIL OFF THEY COULD HAVE JUST HAD APRIL KIDNAPPED AND MISSING ALL SEASON LONG WHILE BOBBY AFTER RETURNING HOME ALONE FROM HIS HONEYMOON SENDS MEN TO SEARCH FOR APRIL. THEN AT THE END OF THAT FINAL SEASON BOBBY GETS WORD THAT APRIL HAS BEEN RESCUED AND IS RETURNING HOME SAFELY. IF THEY WANTED TO SHOW HOW SHEREE IS A VERY GOOD IN PLAYING SUCH DEATH SCENES SINCE IT WON HER BEST DEATH SCENE BY THE SOAP OPERA DIGEST AWARD THEN IT COULD HAVE BEEN THAT APRIL’S DEATH AND FUNERAL WAS BOBBY’S DREAM IN WHICH BOBBY WOKE UP ALONE IN PARIS FOLLOWING APRIL’S FUNERAL WHILE APRIL IS STILL MISSING AND KIDNAPPED. THEN BOBBY RETURNS HOME ALONE WHILE SENDING MEN TO SEARCH FOR HER UNTIL SHE IS RESCUED AT SEASON’S END.
I’VE GOT A GREAT IDEA. WHY DON’T THE NEW TNT PILOT EPISODE OF “DALLAS” BEGIN WITH BOBBY WAKING UP FROM HIS DREAM WITH APRIL RIGHT NEXT TO HIM TAKING THEM BACK TO THE BEGINNING OF THEIR HONYMOON IN PARIS. BOBBY’S DREAM WOULD BEGIN FROM THE TIME OF APRIL’S KIDNAPPING, TO THE END OF THE FINAL SEASON OF “DALLAS,” AND UP UNTIL THE END OF THE SPECIAL FILMS “J.R. RETURNS” AND “WAR OF THE EWINGS.” THEN RIGHT AFTER THE SCENE WHEN BOBBY WAKES UP FROM HIS DREAM WITH APRIL RIGHT NEXT TO HIM THE STORY WOULD MOVE FORWARD 20 YEARS LATER. THEN 20 YEARS LATER A NEW STORY IS WRITTEN AT SOUTHFORK WITH BOBBY, APRIL, CHRISTOPHER, J.R., JOHN ROSS, SUE ELLEN, CALLY, JAMES, BARNES, RAY, JENNA OR EVEN MICHELLE STEVENS. I THINK THAT SHEREE HAS THE PERFECT VOICE AND PERSONALITY TO TAKE ON A MISS ELLIE ROLE. A SIMILAR SHOWER SCENE WITH APRIL TAKING A SHOWER COULD BE A GREAT IDEA BRINGING BACK AN OLD FOND MEMORY TO OLD-TIME “DALLAS” FANS.
PLEASE TAKE A SERIOUS LOOK INTO THIS AND CONTACT WRITERS AND PRODUCERS. PLEASE REPLY.
ALAN KATTAN
It was Sheree J. Wilson’s idea to be killed off and not that of the writers/producers. They just honored her request. As for bringing her back, I say no. I loved the character, but she is dead and we should move on. The character I would LOVE to see return is Katherine Wentworth. Dallas could have done MUCH more with her. I am also sad to hear Charlene Tilton has no desire to return to her role. In the mini-series, I always thought she was a lot like Ms Ellie. She rode horses and was just as tough as the boys. Then, they made her more of a “beauty symbol”. I would love to see her run Southfork.
SHEREE JUST WANTED TO LEAVE DUE TO MATERNITY. THE WRITERS DECIDED TO KILL HER OFF. LEONARD KATZMAN SAID THAT HIS ONLY REGRET WAS HAVING THE CHARACTER APRIL KILLED OFF WHEN SHEREE DECIDED TO LEAVE, AND SHEREE AGREED WITH HIM. THEN ONE YEAR LATER AFTER HER MATERNITY SHE SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH “WALKER TEXAS RANGER.”
IT SHOULD BEGIN BY REPLAYING APRIL’S GUN DOWN AND FUNERAL THEN BOBBY WAKES UP FROM HIS DREAM WHILE STILL ON THE HONEYMOON IN PARIS AND APRIL IS TAKING A SHOWER. THEN AS BOBBY APPROACHES THE SHOWER (WITH BOBBY AND APRIL’S FAMOUS SAXOPHONE SONG BEING PLAYED IN THE BACKGROUND) APRIL SAYS TO BOBBY WITH HER SOFT VOICE, “COME IN. BABY!” WITH HER POINTING FINGER INDICATING THE DIRECTION. THEN BOBBY REPLIES, “APRIL?” AND THEN FAINTS. THEN THE “DALLAS” THEME SONG BEGINS WITH THE CREDITS. THEN AFTERWARDS THERE IS A SUBTITLE MENTIONING “20 YEARS LATER.” KNOWING THAT THE NEW “DALLAS” IS PRESUMED TO HAVE CHRISTOPHER AND JOHN ROSS FEUDING THE SHOW SHOULD ALSO FEATURE A TEENAGE DAUGHTER OF BOBBY AND APRIL WHO WOULD BE IN THE ROLE OF LUCY.
THERE ARE REPORTS THAT THE MISS ELLIE TYPE ROLE IS BEING OFFERED TO ANNETTE O’TOOLE AS BOBBY’S NEW WIFE ANN EWING, AND I THINK THIS IS NOT A GOOD IDEA FOR THE FOLLOWING REASONS:
1. SHEREE HAS SIMILAR FACIAL FEATURES, BLONDE HAIR, PERSONALITIES, AND A DEEP VOICE TO BARBARA BEL GEDDES UNLIKE ANNETTE O’TOOL. I NOTICED THAT AFTER SHEREE PLAYED A MORE SERIOUS TYPE ROLE AS ALEX CAHILL.
2. APRIL WAS THE MOST SUPPORTIVE WOMAN BOBBY EVER HAD DELIGHTING HIM WITH HER SENSE OF HUMOR. SHE WAS JUST AS SUPPORTIVE AS MISS ELLIE WAS TO JOCK.
3. AS MISS ELLIE DATED FAR BACK TO THE EWING-BARNES FEUD HISTORY APRIL DID TOO UNLIKE ANY NEW WIFE BOBBY CAN HAVE.
4. BOBBY WOULDN’T BE MARRIED LONG ENOUGH TO A NEW WOMAN TO HAVE A DAUGHTER IN HER LATE TEENS IN A LUCY TYPE ROLE UNLIKE APRIL AND BOBBY.
5. CLIFF BARNES SHOULD BE MARRIED TO MICHELLE, AND THE STORY SHOULD BE THAT MICHELLE ALWAYS WANTED TO TAKE REVENGE ON HER SISTER APRIL AND DESTROY HER OIL COMPANY. THAT’S WHY SHE AND BARNES GOT MARRIED NEARLY 20 YEARS AGO SO THAT THEY COULD WORK TOGETHER TO DESTROY BOTH APRIL AND THE EWINGS. MICHELLE AND BARNES SHOULD HAVE AN 18-19 YEAR-OLD SON IN A CLIFF BARNES TYPE ROLE AS THE NEXT GENERATION WHO CARRIES ON THE FEUD AGAINST CHRISTOPHER AND JOHN ROSS. MICHELLE SHOULD BE RUNNING A BARNES COMPANY CLOSELY WITH HER YOUNG SON TEACHING HIM WHAT TO DO, BUT CLIFF BARNES SHOULD BE CASTED IN A DIGGER TYPE ROLE AS BEING MORE MELLOW AND LAID BACK AGAINST THE EWINGS AS DIGGER WAS IN HIS FINAL YEAR. JUST LIKE MISS ELLIE LIKED CLIFF BARNES AND WANTED TO RESOLVE THE FEUD APRIL TRIES TO DO THE SAME THING WITH THE YOUNGER EWING BOYS AND CLIFF BARNES’ SON ESPECIALLY SINCE CLIFF BARNES’ SON HAPPENS TO BE APRIL’S NEWPHEW. CLIFF BARNES WHO HAD A PAST RELATIONSHIP WITH APRIL AS MISS ELLIE HAD WITH DIGGER COULD HANG OUT WITH APRIL FROM TIME TO TIME JUST AS MISS ELLIE DID HANG OUT WITH DIGGER IN THE ORIGINAL SERIES. DIGGER ONCE TOLD MISS ELLIE THAT HE WISHES HE HAD MARRIED HER, AND CLIFF BARNES COULD TELL APRIL THAT HE MARRIED THE WRONG SISTER. MISS ELLIE THEN TOLD DIGGER HOW HE BLEW HIS CHANCE, AND APRIL COULD TELL CLIFF BARNES THE SAME THING.
6. CHRISTOPHER EWING SHOULD BE MARRIED TO CLIFF BARNES’ DAUGHTER FROM AFTON AT SOUTHFORK WHO WOULD BE IN A PAM TYPE ROLE WHO IS TORN BETWEEN THE EWINGS AND THE BARNES SIMILARLY AS PAM WAS. SHE ALSO WOULD BE A HALF-SISTER TO CLIFF AND MICHELLE’S SON AS PAM WAS TO CLIFF. THE ISSUE ABOUT PAM BEING UNABLE TO HAVE A CHILD WITH BOBBY COULD ALSO BE APPLIED TO CHRISTOPHER AND CLIFF BARNES’ DAUGHTER WHO WOULD INHERIT HER FATHER’S DISEASE. JOHN ROSS WOULD TRY TO DRIVE HER OUT AS J.R. TRIED TO DO WITH PAM.
7. APRIL WAS ALWAYS FULL OF SURPRISING MOMENTS TO BOBBY FROM THE TIME SHE SUPRISED HIM IN VIENNA, TO THE TIME SHE MISSED SURPRISING HIM AT AN AIRPORT WHEN HE WAS LEAVING HER HOMETOWN TO RETURN TO DALLAS, AND TO THE TIME WHEN LATER SHE SURPRISED HIM AT HIS OFFICE THROWING SNOWFLAKES. BOBBY DISCOVERING APRIL ALIVE IN THE SHOWER AFTER WAKING UP FROM HIS DREAM WOULD REMIND FANS OF TYPICAL APRIL SURPRISES WITH THIS BEING THE BIGGEST APRIL SURPRISE OF ALL.
7. PATRICK DUFFY AND SHEREE WERE THE ONLY TWO MAJOR CHARACTERS ON “DALLAS” WHO LATER HAVE HAD LONG-TIME SUCCESS ON TELEVISION, AND IT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE THE TWO OF THEM TOGETHER AGAIN.
8. SINCE SHEREE WAS AT THE 30 YEAR REUNION WITH THE ORIGINAL CAST MEMBERS AND THEY ARE TRYING TO BRING AS MANY ORIGINAL CAST MEMBERS AS POSSIBLE IT IS A GOOD SIGN THAT SHEREE COULD BE STRONGLY CONSIDERED. SOON FANS WILL PURCHASE IT AS WELL AS THE FINAL SEASON FEATURING APRIL’S DEATH WHICH SOON WILL BE FRESH ON THE FANS’ MIND ENOUGH TO SEE BOBBY WAKING UP FROM HIS DREAM.
9. THE LATE EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF “DALLAS” LEONARD KATZMAN ONCE SAID THAT HIS BIGGEST REGRET WAS KILLING APRIL OFF, AND SHEREE ONCE SAID THAT UNFORTUNEATELY THEY CAN’T BRING BACK THE DEAD. WELL, THIS IDEA WOULD MEAN THAT APRIL STEVENS EWING HAS NEVER DIED IN THE FIRST PLACE. APRIL WAS CONSIDERED DEAD ONLY DURING ONE FULL SEASON AS MUCH AS BOBBY WAS. THAT SHOWER SCENE OF BOBBY WAS THE MOST EXCITING CLASSICAL MOMENT IN “DALLAS” HISTORY, AND IT WOULD BE FUN FOR “DALLAS” FANS TO SEE SUCH AN EXCITING MOMENT HAPPENING AGAIN WITH THIS TIME BOBBY WAKING UP FROM A DREAM INSTEAD OF BEING DREAMT OF. THE TITLE OF THIS PILOT EPISODE SHOULD BE CALLED “APRIL FOOLS DREAM.” HAVING APRIL AGAIN UNLIKE A NEW WIFE FOR BOBBY MORE LIKELY WOULD MEAN THINKING LONG-TERM AHEAD RATHER THAN THINKING BEHIND RESULTING IN SHORT-TERM. IT ONLY TAKES ABOUT A MINUTE TO EXPLAIN HOW APRIL WOULD BE ALIVE AS IT ONCE DID FOR BOBBY. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH REMAKING SCENES SINCE SHEREE ON “WALKER TEXAS RANGER” AS ALEX CAHILL REPLAYED MANY SCENES THAT WERE SIMILAR TO THE SCENES AS APRIL. ALSO ON “WALKER TEXAS RANGER” WALKER AND ALEX HAD MANY DREAM SCENES OF ONE ANOTHER. THEREFORE, AS TO THE WRITERS AND PRODUCERS THEY SHOULD AS APRIL WOULD SAY, “WAKE UP AND SMELL THE PERFUME!”
Man I am sorry but that idea sucks big time. First off all those characters you mentioned should NOT be on this new show.Caly,Michelle,James..etc..etc they are part of what ruined dallas the last few seasons. Losing all the original cast like Ray and Lucy and getting those ppl was terrible. This show needs Jr,Bobby,Sue Ellen,Pam,Ray and Cliff. Maybe Donna but she did ray so dirty she dont deserve it and get Lucy. Get the original Cast back at south fork sitting at the dinner table with Bobby at jocks chair. Pam returning. Victorias face looks like plastic surgery now anyways so it fits with her story line of being burned. That starts JR and PAM fueding again. Gives Cliff another reason to start a war with JR again. JR being nasty to his returned from the grave sister. Not to mention cliff feeling that John Ross is trying to do to his nephew christpoher what jock did to digger and what JR always did to Cliff.
If this show is written properly it can be really good. If they half ass it and leave out key characters it will suck.Ray needs to be back being the ranch foreman. Proclaiming how he missed the ranch and missed working the ranch.
Jock and Miss Ellies picture needs to be hanging on the wall.
Let this be the Dallas of old. Not the crap dallas that we got in the final few seasons.
Justin Hartley is being looked at as possibly playing the Character of Christopher Ewing or John Ross. Hartley currently is wrapping up his stint as Green Aarow on Smallville
This would make us soooooo happy but please make it available in Canada, or we will have to wait for the dvd’s to come out lol.
Thank you so much for great tv and having Larry, Linda and Patrick apart of the new series would be awesome.
Brenda and Ray Ryan
Orillia, ON CANADA
I do hope that the two boys will not be kopies of their fathers. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a honest en brave John Ross III and a Christopher with adoration for his fantastic uncle JR. Could give dynamite with their fathers and family
Let’s JR do business with Gregory Sumner and bring for a visit Abby and Valene Gary and the kids
I Can not believe it my beloved family returns.
Yihaaaaa
We can confirm that both Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy will reprise their roles as Bobby and JR Ewing in the upcoming pilot for Dallas on TNT.
Patrick confirmed his pivotal role in the new show earlier this month and now Larry Hagman has jumped on board to reprise his character of JR Ewing.
The pilot episode will focus on the battle between John Ross Ewing and his cousin Christopher.
Casting is currently in the early stages but other original stars expected to confirm soon include Linda Gray as Sue Ellen and Priscilla Presley as Jenna Krebbs.
Casting for the key younger cast is still ongoing.
It is confirmed by TNT that Dallas is returning early next yr. So far the original cast members returning are JR, Bobby, Sue Ellen, Jenna and Ray. Lucy(Tilton) has said she doesnt want to return. Gary and Val would return to introduce Bobby and Betsy. Filming doesnt start till Feb.
This was a good post..1st time to this website. Appreciate you for sharing. I have to revisit this site. I am a room decorator for 5 years. Our decorating tip of the week is: Please don’t overdecorate a room. Room space is required. Thanks again….
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE DALLAS AGAIN,IT WAS ALWAYS MY FAVORITE SHOW.
The home page headline says it is confirmed that the show is back and will be shown on TNT. Then the article is the same old one that has been there for months saying “we can’t confirm rumours but it looks like the show is coming back.”
I am definitely for a new version. With Larry, Linda and Patrick back in their original roles, the show is NOT a completely new remake, but more a “continuation” of the original show which ended as a series in 1991, but returned with TV movies in 1996 and 1998. Dallas is still an extremely popular and well loved series and there is still a substantial number of fans that will tune in to check out new shows.
I assume it will take up with John Ross and Christopher involved in Ewing Oil, which was bought by Bobby in 1996. Bobby then sold half of the company to Sue Ellen, so John Ross and Christopher have parents as co-owners. When last seen (12 years ago) JR was Chairman of Westar Oil, a job he had sought for nearly a decade before acquiring it in ’96. JR, Bobby and Sue Ellen resided at Southfork. In the ’98 movie War of the Ewings, no mention was made of either John Ross or Christopher, and they did not appear to be living at the ranch. I assume both will be at Southfork and may even have wives, which will introduce new characters and the path for shenanigans for which the ranch was once known.
Does anyone know what time the 14th season will come out?
The only original cast members returning are Bobby, Sue Ellen and JR as well as the original John Ross and Christopher. The rest of the cast will be brand new people. Filming begins in January 2011 with The Pilot episode not airing til Spring of 2011.
Just spoke with Larry Hagman, his reply when asked about rumors of a new Dallas tv series was …well there has been talk ,but it all comes down to the money. It’s all about the money you know.Is what he said.Linda Grey looks awesome for 70..better then she did at times during series.Linda,Patrick and Charlene all are really friendly, nice very down to earth.
Just seen all, got autographs, and pictures with each
I hope series does get made.
Don´t consider every positive comment as spam, its not – but here my two cents. It´s all about fitness mates! Or what do you think? I like this data and it has presented me some sort of desire to succeed for some reason, so thank you. Furthermore I´m definitely considering blogging these figures in my own blog!
I just like this website given and it has given myself some sort of inspiration to have success for some reason, so thanks.
Great news, I do hope it would have more future than the born dead Dallas movie project. One more hope, keep all the former actors with Larry Hagman and make a good selection of new ones! A new Dallas could be a great success and will create a new generation of viewers! A cordial salute from Mallorca from an old French fanatic of Dallas and J.R Ewing!!!
cool i would love to see dallas again
As much as I like the original Dallas TV series, I’m not sure that brining back the series with new episodes is such a good idea. Those revivals rarely survive for long as a series Sequels rarely are as successful as the original.
And to me, this would hit too close to home. What was a storyline in the 80′s has become reality, in a really bad way. I think that most of the corporate executives these days are acting like JR did on TV back then.
True, revivals are many times unsuccessful. I would point to the “re-imagined” Battlestar Galactica on SciFi. The new Galactica (IMO) was not only vastly superior to the campy original series from the late ’70s, but ran for over 4 seasons vs. the original’s one season. Now, it may be impossible to have a new Dallas run longer than the impressive 13-year run of Dallas (1978-91), but if it is really good, it could have success. The foundations are there, as most here seem to know & already have great scenarios for a new take. The focus could/should be focused on the characters that were the children of the original casts’primary adult characters (JR’s son John Ross; Bobby’s son Christopher; Bobby/Ray’s son Lucas; Cliff/Afton’s daughter Pamela; Ray’s daughter Margaret; and perhaps Jenna’s daughter Charlie and/or Gary’s children Bobby/Betsy). With Sue Ellen/Bobby co-owning & jointly running Ewing Oil, the path is paved for John Ross & Christopher to battle each other like their fathers did years earlier. Ray, Jenna (even if Priscilla would do only one or perhaps a few episodes to establish storylines for her children) have to return to Dallas. They could have Bobby give or sell the Krebbs a portion of Southfork & have a new home built. Then, bring Lucas in as another antagonist for Christopher. Certainly, Christopher might feel insecure with his adoptive father’s only biological child so close to him – and Bobby. Larry, Patrick & Linda could have bit roles as they would hopefully still reside at Southfork. Then you could have Christopher still living in the ranch house mansion, with John Ross perhaps visiting SF often but living in a lavish high rise apartment in downtown Dallas. The possibilities are endless and I would really love to see Dallas: The Next Generation airing soon!
I think we need to make a clear difference here between what you’re terming ‘revivals’ and remakes of a series. In fact what you seem to describe is the awful remake of original series which always leave a bad aftertaste! Compare The Prisoner, Bionic Woman, Knight Rider (the list is endless) however where revivals with the original cast or writers have been made (i.e. continuation of the story) they have generally been very good: Get Smart Again and Get Smart (1995), Doctor Who (2005 onward), JR Returns, Cagney & Lacey reunion movies, Waltons re-union movies, Rockford Files reunion movies, Columbo (1988-2003), Dukes of Hazzard reunion movies, Knight Rider 2000, Kojak reunion movies, the list goes on. What is atrocious is where a team of actors has brought the characters to life 30 years ago and garnered fans and now some unimaginative tv exec thinks we can be made to believe that Matt LeBlanc is Jim Rockford or something equally silly in some half-hearted rehash of the idea! Big difference. Dallas 2010 can work with the right formula…
You listed a long list of TRULY atrocious shows – most of which I had never heard of or were so horribly produced that they deserved the failure they got. My example – Battlestar Galactica – was a show that was superbly “reimagined” with excellent casting, storylines, special effects and production. Sure, we’d all like to see the original Ewing clan fightin’ & lovin’ at Southfork. But do you really think Larry Hagman (he’s what? in his 70′s now, looking even older; along with gray-haired, saggy boobed Pam and Botox-riddled Pricilla Presley revising their original roles? NO. Logically, the focus would be the younger cast members – who were part of the original series if you remember. They are not new characters – and even if they were, the original show added new characters every season and recast actors numerous times (Jenna, Miss Ellie, Gary, Pam, John Ross, Christopher). As I said, a good show would stand a chance of success. If it’s awful – like the shows you mentioned – then it will deserve to fail. In 2010, it is much more difficult for any show to be given time necessary to build an audience/succeed. It’s now reqired to be instantly a hit in order to continue. Dallas is a well known, widely recognized series that would bring in large numbers of viewers. This might give it the chance of being successful, with the newer/younger Ewings, Barnes, etc. being reintroduced as the primary characters of the new Dallas. If you think watching JR, Bobby and Sue Ellen in wheelchairs or shuffling around Southfork with walkers is a recipe for success, then you are much, much, much older than me or the likely audience for a new version of Dallas – which is the topic that is being discussed here.
I love to see it all begin. I missed Pam but Bobby should have had a better ending. I am waiting to see JR return movie.
I had always wanted to see Dallas’ JR team up with Dynasty’s Alexis. Since the shows were rivals & on different networks it was always unlikely though. Just think – Ewing Oil & Colbyco join forces to crush Barnes Wentworth & Wentworth Industries! Then perhaps, Blake swoops in to save the day with Denver Carrington buying Barnes Wentworth and controlling interest in Wentworth Industries. I always agreed with Katharine Wentworth when she said neither Pam or Cliff should have received one bit of the fortune/empire amassed by Herbert Wentworth. How convenient that Pam/Cliff’s long-lost mother just happened to be married to an enormously rich industrialist who just happened to die and leave everything to her and nothing to his only biological child – Katharine Wentworth. When Rebecca allowed Cliff to run Herbert’s 1st company – Wentworth Tool & Die – he (with JR’ help) almost destroyed it. Then, Rebecca buys Wade Luce’s oil company, renames it Barnes Wentworth, and hands it to Cliff – a man with NO experience running an oil company or successful business of any kind. Then, Rebecca “conveniently” dies and leaves 2/3 of the Wentworth fortune to Cliff & Pam. Katharine, Pam & Cliff each receive 1/3 of Wentworth Tool & Die. Pam & Katharine each receive 50% of Rebecca’s stock in Wentworth Industries and Cliff receives outright ownership of Barnes Wentworth. The 3 receive equal shares of Rebecca’s fortune, allowing pious Pamela to walk away from Bobby without needing to ask for one penny from the vast Ewing fortune. Years later, Pam abandons Bobby & Christopher because she is no longer “pretty.” Christopher Ewing – son of Sue Ellen’s sister, biological cousin to John Ross – will inheret millions of dollars in Wentworth stock, 1/3 of Wentworth Tool & Die, half of Ewing Oil, all of Southfork Ranch and hundreds of millions of dollars. Not bad for an illegitamate half breed that JR once thought was his son!
I live in ottawa ontario canada and i have rogers tv is Dallas on any station there. Please help me
Thanks Sue
Dynasty-style catfight? lol that might be fun man. But I must warn ya I can fight like Alexis LOL. Anyway JP sorry for attacking you.
Jason – I do not engage in personal attacks on other posters, so sorry. I am just having fun and being silly. It is obvious (to most) that I am being silly, ridiculous and completely over the top – kind of like many Dallas, and even moreso Dynasty storylines. Chill out and come up with some interesting stories of your own, or don’t, but please let’s not start some Dynasty-style cat fight over a fictional TV show and my fantastical ideas.
JP your so called stories are lame and down right retarded.. They make no sense what so ever.
LAST ON DALLAS – a machine gun-toting wench in designer pumps guns down the Ewing brothers. NOW – the camera moves up to reveal Teresa, longtime Ewing maid & secret lover of JR, Bobby & Ray, as the assailant. Drunk off of cheap tequila & angry at the Ewings, Teresa makes off with a pair of Sue Ellen’s shoes & a mink coat while Sue Ellen is passed out. Like Sue Ellen in ’88, & Kristen in ’80, Teresa is a lousy shot & has missed every major organ & vein in JR, Bobby & Ray. The Ewing brothers awake, stand up & glare at Teresa. JR tells Teresa to “get a mop & clean up this mess!” Teresa belches & tells JR “OK, oh & by the way, dinner is served.” Soaked in blood, the Ewings go downstairs for another sumptuous feast.
Sue Ellen wakens from her drunken stupor & stumbles out of her room. She sees Teresa, in her fur & pumps, on her hands & knees scrubbing blood off of the balcony floor. Sue Ellen, joined by Jenna, John Ross & Christopher, joins the family for dinner. As the family dines, Maggie struts into the dining room decked out in a $100,000 dress & a diamond tiarra. She sits in Miss Ellie’s chair & demands a drink & dinner. Enraged by his cousin’s antics, John Ross throws his drink & plate of food at Maggie & says “here’s your drink & dinner you tweekin’ Texas tramp!” Covered in pasta sauce & whisky, Maggie laughs hysterically & says “can I have seconds?!” After 5 minutes of silence & staring, the Ewings, one by one, begin to giggle, then laugh. Jenna stands up & pours the entire bowl of pasta sauce onto Bobby’s head, while the others throw what remains of their dinners at one another. Twenty minutes later, the famed Ewing dining room has sauce on the walls, broken china on the floor & booze on the ceiling. The Ewings shuffle into the living room as Teresa descends the staircase. She asks JR if she can retire for the evening. JR grins & says “sure thang shug, right after you clean up the dining room!” Teresa enters the dining room & stops dead in her tracks. As the family is unsuccessfully trying to refrain from laughing, the scene ends with the camera panning again on Teresa’s feet & legs, then, the sight & sound of urine hitting the floor ala Reagan McNeil in the Exorcist. TO BE CONTINUED.
Ray enters the main barn at SF to tie up his prize horse. He hears giggling, moaning and screeching from one of the corrals. When he looks in he sees his brother JR & his daughter Maggie having sex in the dirt & straw. Ray kicks JR & throws a bucket of water on his hot daughter. Then Ray tells Maggie that he expects this behavior from JR but thinks she should have known better. Ray belts Maggie in the face & begins strangling her. JR then yells to Ray “back off you hypocrite, you screwed your own niece back in the ’70s!” Ray, remembering his trists with Lucy in the very same stall lets go of Maggie & storms off.
As Ray nears the main mansion at SF he sees a limosuine pulling up. Sue Ellen & Jenna are back from shopping in Paris & Milan. Jenna tells Ray to take her luggage filled with designer gowns upstairs. Sue Ellen goes to her suite upstairs, opens a drawer & takes out a bottle of Stolitchnaya vodka. She empties the bottle in 10 minutes. Bombed & horny, Sue Ellen trapses down the stairs, looking for action. She come across Ray storming into the living room. Ray is angry that Jenna spent $4 million of his money on dresses, diamonds, furs & male escorts while in Paris. Sue Ellen grabs Ray & tells him she will make him forget his problems. The 2 are so busy having sex on the dining room table that they don’t notice a naked Maggie, covered in dirt/straw, strutting in for a drink. Ray & Sue Ellen look up to see a laughing Maggie clapping slowly & saying “bravo daddy! Sue Ellen tells her to scram but Mags pulls up a chair & asks them to continue. Sue Ellen smashes an empty vodka bottle over Maggie’s head. The cat fight of all cat fights ensues. Maggie throws Sue Ellen onto the coffee table in the living room. Sue Ellen grabs the fire place poker & goes Tonya Harding ala Nancy Kerrigan on Maggie’s knees. By now, Ray, JR, Jenna, Bobby & Teresa are gathered around cheering on the girls. Finally, a seething Donna enters and throws a bucket of water on her daughter & former sister-in-law. Donna tells everyone that they make her sick & says she’s moving back to D.C. permanently. Later that night, Ray, JR & Bobby are drinking heavily on the balcony. The Ewing brothers are laughing & slapping each other on the back. Bobby tells his brothers that it seems like SF is getting exciting again, just as it was many years ago. The sound of stilleto heels is heard from behind & the guys turn to see who is there. The sound of a machine gun is heard. The blood soaked Ewing brothers drop to the floor. The scene ends with the gun landing on the ground & closing with 2 female legs in Tommy Chu shoes.

Ok everyone, here is the next installment in my version of the new show. I have came up with the title of the new show. Dallas: Return To Southfork. It’s a working title so if you have a title let me know.
End of the Road part 1
As the episode opens there’s a flashback to the arguement Ray and Margaret had. Margaret angry runs out the door and jumps into her car and speeds off. As she is driving down the road she reaches for the radio knob to turn the music up. As she looks up headlights are coming right at her. As she is about to swerve it’s too late and both cars crash into each other. The car Margaret is driving flips over several times finally coming to rest on its side. Ray standing outside hears the crash and frantically jumps into his truck and speeds off. When Ray arrives at the crash site he sees both cars completely destroyed. As he gets to his daughters car he looks in and sees her bleeding and not moving. He calls 911 and then runs over to the other car and is horrified to see that Cliff Barnes is in the drivers seat. The smell of whiskey coming from the car. He checks to see if Cliff is alive and feels a very weak pulse. Back at Southfork JR, Sue Ellen and Bobby have now heard about the crash and go to help Ray and his daughter. When they arrive they see Cliff badly hurt. Bobby jumps on the phone and calls the ranch to tell John Ross and Pamela about her father. He tells John Ross that it doesnt look good for Cliff. As the paramedics arrive they remove Margaret from the car and the Police question everyone about what happened. All Ray can say is he heard the crash from his house and arrived at the scene to find his daughter and Cliff Barnes badly hurt. JR tells the officer it had to Cliffs fault as his car smells like a cheap bar. Both Cliff and Margaret are taken to the hospital. Sue Ellen cant help but flashback to when she was drunk and almost killed John Ross in a car accident. She tells JR that Margaret has to live. Soon Pamela, John Ross, Afton, JR, Sue Ellen and Bobby all arrive at the hospital to be with Ray. Over the years Ray and JR have grown closer as brother. Especially since JR helped Ray save his ranch from forclosure. Also Miss Ellie asked as her last request that they all try and be a family and put their differences aside and become brothers. Afton and Pamela ask the doctors how Cliff is and the doctor tells them Cliff is in a coma and on life support, he goes on to say they have done all they can for him. The doctor tells them they should prepare for the worst. Ray asks about his daughter and receives good news. Margaret has some cuts and bruises and broken leg and arm and head concusion but should make a full recovery. Ray calls Donna and tells her what happened and she tells him she is on the next flight to Dallas. Christopher arrives at the hospital and finds out his uncle caused the car crash. Ray wants to know why Cliff was out there in first place and why he was behind the wheel drunk. Ray looks at Afton and tells her that if Cliff lives he will kill the man. Bobby and JR tell Ray to stand in line that they want a piece of him as well. Ray tells Bobby, Christopher, John Ross, JR and Sue Ellen to go on home that theres nothing they can do at the moment. JR tells Sue Ellen he has to run by the office and take care of some business that he will be home later. Sue Ellen gets a ride with Bobby back to Southfork. JR arrives at a hotel called The Dallas Palace. JR walks up to the desk and asks if she is there yet and is told she is room 2143. He walks to the elevator and the doors close. When JR arrives at the room he knocks on it and it opens. The screen fades with the camera on JR’s face smiling. When the show returns JR is smiling as the camera finally pans over to reveal the woman standing there. It is none other than the great love of JR’s life Vanessa. We learn Vanessa that James is again in trouble and that JR is the only person that can help. She tells him that since he left Dallas years earlier that he is in trouble with the law one time after another. He asks her why can’t he just he a father to Jimmy and husband to Debra Lynn. He makes a phone call to one of his boys and tells them he wants them to track down James, Jimmy an Debra Lynn and bring them to him in Dallas. Back at the ranch Bobby and Sue Ellen are in the living room talking. Bobby tells her that Cliff almost killed another Ewing. Sue Ellen says it was because of Cliffs lies and detrayals that caused Jamie to leave and end up dieing from the fall in LA and that now because of his drinking Margaret was almost killed. During the coversation between Bobby and Sue Ellen they have flashbacks; Sue Ellen flashes back to the phone call saying Jamie was dead. Bobby wonders why the Ewing family can’t just live in peace. Back at the hospital Donna finally arrives and finds Ray sobing. Donna terrified asks whats wrong with their daughter. JR arrives at Southfork and as he is walking in the door the phone rings. He answers the phone and says OMG. Sue Ellen, Bobby, Pamela, John Ross, Christopher, Patsy and Bobby are in the living room and see JR’s face. He hangs the phone up and walks in the living room and announces that Margaret Krebbs is dead. Back at the hospital Donna learns from Ray that Margaret died from a brain hemmorage while in surgury. Donna falls to the floor screaming and crying NO. Ray tells Donna he has to call Jenna, Lucas and Charlie and give them the news before they see it on the news. Donna asks Ray what happened and he tells her that drunk SOB Cliff Barnes killed their daughter. The Ewing clan arrives back at the hospital as does the police. They inform Pamela and Afton that Cliff will be charged with murder if he survives. JR tells the officer that Cliff should be the one dead not his niece. Ray flys into a rage and storms into Cliffs room and starting punching Cliff yelling he’s going to kill him. JR and Bobby pull Ray off and tell him he cant think of that now that he has to be there for Donna and their daughter. Bobby tells Ray to let the law handle Cliff. Afton and Pamela are horrified and crying. They can’t believe Cliff killed someone. Pamela walks in Cliffs room and tells him she will never forgive him. JR pulls Ray to the side and tells him that if he really wants Cliff dead he can make it happen that all he has to do is say the word. As Afton and Pamela are about to exit Cliffs room the monitor goes off and flatlines. As the screen fades doctors rush in and Afton and Pamela look on in shock.
End of part 1….
Coming up in part 2…Afton and Pamela lives are changed forever, Ray and Donna make funeral arrangments, Jenna, Lucas and Charlie arrive in Dallas to be with Ray, The Ewings gather to say farewell to one of their own, An unlikely couple makes love during this tragedy, James, Cally, Debra Lynn, Jimmy, JR and Callys son arrive in Dallas in time for the funeral, Secrets are revealed when a Blast from the past makes a surprise return to Dallas.
Hope you enjoy this episode..Tell me what you think of this storyline..Give me your opinions and thoughts about what should happen in part 2.
I can’t wait for the generation of Dallas I grow up watching it with my mom and grandmother now Iam a grandmother and it would be so alsome to see the new generationg be into the new Dallas like they are into the old Dallas good job on the story line jason sound great
The Character of Jamie died on the show. Jack,Jamie’s brother died in real life from AIDS. The guy who played Mickey Trotter died on the show as well as in real life also from AIDS. Miss Ellie and Clayton both died in real life. As did Jock. April was killed on her and Bobby’s honeymoon. Pam died on the show. Kristen Shepherd drowned in the Southfork pool. Pam and Cliffs mom died in the plane crash. The other woman who played Miss Ellie died from cancer in real life. Digger Barnes died on the show. Shella Foley was killed by Michelle at Southfork. The only characters and actors/actresses alive and able to return would be JR, Sue Ellen, Christopher, John Ross, Cliff, Bobby, Lucy, Ray, Jenna, Charlie, Lucas, Margaret, Bobby, Patsy, Gary, Val, Donna, Cally, James, his wife and son, JR and Callys kid, Vanessa, Carter McKay, Charlie and Sly
Who played Jammie
Bring it back with as many of the old stars as possible please.
The new Dallas should have the original actors portraying JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby, Ray, Donna, Jenna, Lucy and Gary. Now introducing new stars: Lady Gaga as Margaret “Maggie Mae” Krebbs; Leo Dicaprio as John Ross; Ben Afflek as Christopher; Jennifer Lopez as the illegitamate/half breed daughter of JR & Teresa (longtime Ewing maid); Jennifer Garner as Charlie; Halle Barry as John Ross’s new wife; Toby Maguire as Lucas Krebbs-Ewing. John Ross and his new wife – Trixy Ewing – bring style and bling to South Fork, where tuxedos, diamonds, furs and designer gowns are the order of the day. The famous South Fork living room is completely redocorated in silk wallpaper, marble floors, chandaliers and custom made French furniture. Jenna’s Versace gowns make her husband Ray feel inadequate, leading him to strut around the ranch in Gucci suits, top hat and cowboy boots! Lucy’s hefty new look is taken to ridiculous levels with her huge new boobs, 10-inch stiletto heals and poofed-out hair with 3-feet extensions. Maggie upstages them all with her style consisting of knee-high suede boots, sunglasses and long white gloves – and NOTHING else! JR ignores the fact that Mags is his blood relative and puts the moves on her big time!
I think Pamela and Bobby must be together it would not be the same otherwise. sue Ellen and J R also need to be together , and a full story of the years we have missed should be firstly brought into the scenes somehow to let us know how they got where they are now and bring us all up to date.
Then the fueds should start all over again with john Ross jn and christopher. both in the oil business of course. if we cant get the same acotrs back we need to make up a story line to explain what happened to them instead of starting a frest series and having to make our own ideas up.
Bring it all back asap I miss it.,
Charlene Tilton is now only 3 years younger than the age Barbara Bel Geddes (Ellie Ewing) was when the show started in 1978. So strange as this may sound I suggest that Lucy Ewing should now own Southfork ranch. Ofcourse this doesn’t necessarily mean Southfork should be the central point of the new series. I suggest that it is relegated to second place behind the centre of Dallas itself and the new modern day characters ie. the show should be representative of the people of the city today.
As the show opens we find JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby, Christopher, Lucy, and Ray sitting at the dinner table having a Ewing Family Breakfast. Sue Ellen asks JR if he has seen John Ross and Jr informs his wife for the 3rd time that he didnt come home the night before. Christopher says he better be into the Ewing Oil offices this morning as they have a important business meeting with the bank president. JR tells the family he better get to the ofice himself as Weststar has to close a deal for a fleet of new oil tankers. As JR is about to stand up in walks John Ross with a beautiful girl on his arm. He announces to the family that he would like to introduce his new wife Pamela Rebecca Cooper. JR jumps out of his chair and tells John Ross to get that Barnes tramp out of the mansion. He orders John Ross to have the so called marriage annuled. Sue Ellen stands up and tells JR “That’s Enough” to which he replys “it’s not enough till that damn tramp is out of his sons life”. Bobby sitting at the table flashes back to the day he arrived at Southfork with his wife Pam Barnes. As JR, Sue Ellen, John Ross and Pamela are yelling in walks Afton Cooper who after hearing JR call her daughter a no good tramp like her mother punches JR square in the mouth knocking him to the floor. We learn from Pamela Rebeeca Ewing that her father Cliff Barnes is in the hospital from alcohol poisoning. Jr who has recovered from being knocked on his butt by Afton chimes in ” like father like son” Both are broke worthless drunks. Afton tells JR that its his fault because he used their daughter to get Ewing Oil away from Cliff. JR in his usual charming voice tells Afton he wasnt the one who put the bottle in his hand and that is not the one who made him drink that if he dies its Cliffs own damn fault. That once a loser always a loser. John Ross and Pamela leave the dining room and walk into the living room where the first thing that is seen is pictures of Jock, Miss Ellie and Clayton hanging on the wall over the fire place. John Ross tells Pam that his grandmother would be thrilled that he met the woman of his dreams. JR, Bobby and Sue Ellen walk in just as John Ross and Pamela are kissing. JR tells Sue Ellen and Bobby he thinks hes going to puke. Bobby in his charming way hand him his cowboy hat and has have fun as he grins. Bobby tells John Ross and Pamela that as long as Southfork belongs to him they are always welcomed there. Lucy now in the living room welcomes Pamela to the family and to the crazy ranch they call Southfork. As JR is walking to his car to head to Weststar a limo pulls up. As the doors open to the limo the camera zooms in on JR’s face as he says OMG. When we return we see Pasty and Bobby Ewing standing on each side of the limo with Pasty telling uncle JR its good to be home and that Gary and Val send their best. Lucy walks outside and sees her brother and sister and runs up to them and hugs them telling them they should have called she would have picked them up at the airport. Christopher who is seen standing behind a bush tells himself this ranch isnt big enough for everyone. JR looks over and sees Chris standing there and walks over to him as asks how he likes having his cousins on Southfork. To which Chris tells him they might be there but they wont for long. Moment later we hear Chris on the phone planning to set John Ross’s new wife so it looks as if she is nothing more than a money hungry woman who will sleep with anyone to make it happen. Pasty over hearing this tells Chris he is just like their uncle JR and that she will make sure everyone knows. Chris tells her to stay out of his way and mind her own business or its her that will suffer. Inside the house everyone is talking as the phone rings. On the line is Donna asking to speak to Ray. When Ray and Donna are talking we learn Margaret is on her way to Dallas to set up house. Ray tells Donna everything will be ok that as soon as he hears from their daughter he will call her back. Ray excuses himself and leaves for his house. When he arrives he sees black cadillac parked in the drive. As he pulls up and walks inside the house he sees his daughter sitting in a chair wearing a short short skirt showing off her legs. Ray looks on as he removes his hat and tells his daughter do go put some clothes on and stop dressing like a hooker. Ray informs Maragret that Donna called. She tells her dear old dad that she could care less that all she wants to do is control her and boss her around. She continues how she wont let her see who she wants. Ray tells her she needs to grow up and find a man that will treat her like a woman should be treated. He also informs his daughter she is cut off from recieving any money until she straightens up. She tells Ray that her grandmother Ellie left her that money in a trust fund. Ray informs her that until she is 21 hes in charge of it. She runs out the door furious and burns rubber out of the drive leaving Ray standing on the porch yelling her name. As Maragret is speeding down the road she reaches for the radio knob to turn the music up. As she looks up she sees white headlights coming right at her. As the screen fades to black we hear the tires screeching and a loud crash.
Stay tuned for more postings. Please leave your feedback as to whether you liked this story or disliked it. Also I would love to have your feedback as to what you think upcoming stories should include.
WHEN IS THIS EPISODE ON? I have been searching for Dallas, Knots Landing, or Dynasty shows.
This sounds like an original episode and a great way to introduce a new generation. I would, however, like a new twist. That old fight between Cliff and JR is really getting old. I would like to see John Ross and Bobby’s son be in the same old type of sibling rivalry as their father’s, but having become rivals with some new folks, preferably, government officials trying to put so many regulations on their business they’re having trouble making any profit. They would team up to fight government corruption and political hacks trying to get rich through the creation of laws that benefit businesses that put stress on the oil industry.
JR could work to keep trouble stirred up for those government officials, especially through planted scandals that thrive off of the culture that already exist within the bureaucracy. This could lead all the way to the top levels of government, even the White House. JR has such a way with scum, he’ll always get the fish to bite the bait.
you sould make your messege sort and sweet
Donna Culver Krebbs Dowling informs Ray and Margaret that she will be running for the US Senate as a Texas Republican – hoping to join her husband in the Senate. Donna tells Maggie that she needs to stop her trampish ways as it may hurt her election hopes. JR, seeing the benefit of having his former sister-in-law in the likely majority party in the new Senate, tries his best to suck up to Donna. In addition, uncle JR blackmails Christopher in order to gain control of his nephews Wentworth stock. Christopher is shocked to see his uncle with pictures of Chris and his male college roomate in bed. Jenna and Charlie get wasted while partying on the town. Gary tells his now 250 lb. daughter Lucy to shape up or ship out! John Ross angers Bobby by moving into Miss Ellie’s old bedroom at Southfork. Ray selects an architect to build his new mansion – to be located just down the road from Gary’s estate and the main mansion occupied by his brothers.
GO TO HELL, THEY’VE SHOT TOMMY!!!!
Now my creative juices are flowing! The now confirmed death of Pamela Barnes Ewing hands Christopher, not Bobby, full control of Pam’s Wentworth Industries stock and her 1/3 of Wentworth Tool & Die. He will use these assetts in his battles with John Ross and his father’s biological son – cousin Lucas. Dimwitted Lucy loses the fortune Jock left her in ’82. She returns to Southfork to flop at Gary’s new estate, just down the road from the main mansion. There, John Ross’s latest floozy humiliates herself in the dining room where JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby, Christopher, Ray, Lucas and Margaret are having breakfast. JR escorts the tart out, only to hand her his personal number and a handful of cash. Not to be outdone, Margaret prances out to the pool and disrobes before her drooling uncle. Ray and Lucas emerge and cover her with a towl. Ray then tells JR and Bobby that he will begin building his own house on SF property, just as his brother Gary has done. Donna is informed of Maggie’s tartish ways and flies into Dallas, just as Jenna has arrives in a limosuine filled with Gucci bags, furs and jewelry up the ying yang. She is accompained by the now gorgeous Charlie, who immediately glares at her whorish step-sister and flips her hair in contempt. JR “reaquaints” himself with Charlie, while Ray takes Jenna and her jewels and furs upstairs for a good old-fashioned Southfork style fight – ending with Jenna throwing a designer lamp at Ray ala Hillary to Bill. All the while, the emotionally disturbed Katharine Wentworth watches from a distance, vowing to destroy Bobby and his son Christopher.
I think a Dallas return would be great. The “elder” Ewings could have supporting roles to the youngins. Have John Ross and Christopher living at Southfork, running Ewing Oil jointly and then bring back the others for the fireworks. Lucas returns with Ray to claim his rightful place among the Ewings. Margaret also arrives with Donna, and makes Lucy look like a prude. Bobby gives a huge chunk of Southfork to Gary, who builds a mansion that makes Southfork look like a shack. The possibilities are endless!Ray and Donna rekindle their love while trying to decide how to handle hot Maggie, and Jenna simmers from the sidelines. JR fends off a hostile takeover of Westar by his billionaire brothers Bobby, Ray and Gary – who form a powerful new Ewing company to rule Dallas!
the final season of Dallas wont be released till next yr. The 2 movies will also be released next yr.

i would love to see lucy reprise her role she is my favorite please bring lucy back
Please include Gary in the casting. I would love to see him back in Dallas.
I would love to see Dallas back on our screens especially in the UK. It was a huge hit in the 80′s and I loved Linda Gray, Barbara Bel Geddes, Howard Keel, Larry Hagman, Patrick Duffy, Charlene Tilton, Ken Kerchieval and all the wonderful stars. A new series would be very welcome, but only if it had some of the original cast as well.
I would love to see Dallas revamped for the 21st century! From fashion to music, everything from the 80′s is coming back. Why not the BEST tv series too!!!
This is exactly what Television needs, NO MORE REALITY TV. I am so sick of REALITY TV. TV viewers need a real TV show with real actors and a true plot-line. And that show is “Dallas: The Next Generation.” I’ve been a loyal Dallas fan ever since I was a little girl and my mom and I would watch it every Friday night on CBS. BRING DALLAS back….PLEASE!!!!!!
Long Time Loyal Fan,
Kimmie
Hi Kimmie: I watched each and every episode of Dallas, Knots Landing and Falcon Crest, each and every week.
Sasha Mitchell is still alive. He did not kill himself.
BUT WHEN WE CAN WATCH THIS ON SCREEN.
What about asking Brad Pit too back he played Randy Charlie’s boyfriend? I’d love to see Dallas the next generation. Would make fantastic viewing.
I DO BELIEVE SASHA MITCHELL KILLED HIMSELF MANY YEARS AGO!
Perhaps you should get your facts straight. Sasha Mitchell is alive and well, and lives with his four children. Before stating something like that, please give some proof to your alligations. Besides, had he died, we would have known about it.
Dallas: The Next Generation would be great. As much of the old cast as possible needs to be in it and it needs to focus, just as the old series did on the boys of Ewing Oil…only this time it needs to be John Ross and Christopher who both should be around 25 or 30 by now. The Cast should be:
John Ross Ewing- Johnny Knoxville
Christopher Ewing- Tom Welling
Charlotte Wade Ewing (Christopher’s Wife) – Deanna Russo
Pamela Rebecca Cooper Barnes(Cliff’s Daughter)- Maggie Gyllenhall
Elizab

Bobby Ewing – Patrick Duffy
Cliff Barnes – Ken Kercheval
Jason Wendell – (Jeremy Wendell’s Brother and New Westar Pres: Ric Flair)

Pamela Barnes – Victoria Principal
Sue Ellen Ewing – Linda Grey
Priscilla Presley – Jenna Wade
Ray Krebbs – Steve Kanaly
Lucy Ewing – Charlene Tilton
James Beaumont Ewing – Sasha Mitchell
Vanessa Beaumont -(JR’s old and current mistress) – Gayle Hunnicut
The show would center around John Ross and Christopher Ewing as the co-owners and Presidents of a since re-unified Ewing Oil. John Ross is married to the daughter of Vanessa Beaumont and Christopher is married to the daughter of Jenna Wade. James Beaumont Ewing, John Ross’s half-brother is in league with Pamela Cooper, Cliff’s Daughter who are constantly trying to destroy Ewing Oil. Jason Wendell, Jeremy’s brother, now owns and runs Westar Oil and is detemined to destroy all of the Ewings…starting with Bobby who now runs Southfork and JR who now is the Governor of Texas.
I’d like to hear what all the Dallas fans thinks of this potential series and plotlines!
P.S. – And yes…Jason Wendell would be played by the retired wrestler, Ric Flair who could pull it off without a hitch! CBS should pick this up!
Not bad cast but April was killed off in season 13 I think.
Not even sure you need everyone back as long as you have
JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby, Cliff, Ray Pam, Christopher and John ross
i got it,john ross and christopher run ewing oil,and to sue ellens dismay she slowly discovers that her son is just like his father, scheming, sleeping around and christopher is like his dad,j.r newly retired from wes star, teaches his son,the new series opens with jonross marriage to the daughter of holly harwood, southfork is run by lucas wade, ray and jennas son(who is actually bobbys son)pamela cooper(cliff and aftons daughter)has been married to christopher for over a year.carter mckays grand son and jeremy wendells nephews are the ewings enemies.
THe Next Generation of Dallas.. cast sounds good. I hope they can bring the show to TV but first get the ENTIRE ORIGINAL OUT ON DVD , including the TV MOVIES!!
I see a pretty major problem with your casting.
Are you going to exhume April’s body from her grave in Paris?
What is latest updates?
must be with the old cast too
JR and Sue Ellen like Jock and Miss Ellie? It sounds great
Who has died of all the cast. Does anybody know.
Hi RON – Here is a Link from Here – http://www.ultimatedallas.com/biography/
jack ewing died of iads, ellies gone and so is farlow. all other main characters alive
I believe from what I heard the one who played Cliffs secretary Jackie, Howard Keel (clayton) barbara Belle Geddes (Miss Ellie)
Jim Davis (Jock Ewing) Dack Rambo (Jack Ewing)
Clayton Farlow
Ellie Southworth Ewing Farlow
Jock Ewing
Jackie (cliff Barnes secutary)
and some others
Hope this helps x
Miss Elle
Clayton Farlow
Both have Died
Pam and April died in the original series so they wont return. As far as Cliff, Jenna, Gary, Val, Lucy, Sly, Mac, Ray they miht make guest appearences but they wont be a huge part of the show. It will focus on their kids. Miss Ellie and Clayton are both dead. The new series would be Dallas: The Next Generation.
actually pam really didnt die. they just had her character “say” she was dying
The old cast wont be back except for JR, John Ross, Christopher, Sue Ellen and Bobby.
where did you get your info. we need
to know.
What about starting the new Dallas with JR in bed waking up from a long sleep and we’re back in 1991 again! The last series was good, going a little crazy and any new series should try to be a little like the last series ever made only better. Let’s not change things too much.
Awesome news – if it really happens! I have been actually penning a series return based on the younger Ewings, with appearances from the original cast – AND I AGREE THE ORIGINAL CAST NEEDS TO BE THERE to lend it’s weight to this new series!
Any new series needs to have a transition period from the old to the new! We all want to see the originals (those characters still alive) but I believe (as an original fan) that we should be seeing the lives of the young Ewings (John Ross III & Christopher) / Barnes’s and their families (wives / lovers). It’s no secret our ‘legends’ are getting on but I’m sure they’d be up for a sort of heavy filming schedule early on followed by a lesser involvement as the series progresses. Would be interesting to see storylines based on recent oil trends – DALLAS RULES! TIME TO RETURN !
WHAT A TREAT IT WOULD BE TO SEE JR BACK ON THE SCREEN..
How about a Dallas movie?
John Travolta would be the BEST JR!!!!
Julia Roberts would be a great Sue Ellen.
Cameron Diaz would be a good Pam.
As for Bobby…I would say Tom Welling from Smallville.
negative,the oringinal cast only,itl b a hit
Not very casting my friend try again originals only what’s wrong with you?
I think that it would be great that DALLAS be back with the same cast…………Or to have the old series be back……on TNT…
I am from Argentina
I love DALLAS ….Bobby, Pam, JR….everything.
I would love to get in touch with DALLAS fans…..thank you
Bring Em Back PLEASE!!!!!!!!
I was at a christmas party dec 09. The guy living there lost his wife to cancer in the summer. I got a jr. ewing shirt for christmas and had it on. I walked into the kitchen and started talking about my shirt, the guy about 68 lit up with a smile and the conversation was on. What a smile on his face. We talked for
a half hour about the series and J.R. His daughter said he hadn’t
been that happy since he lost his wife. They watched it together
through the years. So lets get it on. This year. America is waiting
Bring em on back……………..they all could use the money, im sure the recession has hurt the EWINGS pockets too!!! They may be driving CHEVYS now!! but we love them and would love to revisit southfork !!!!!!
How great would it be to have pam and sue ellen back?!!!!!!!Put pams old rival jenna and katherine too!Afton would be bring glamour back!Couldnt see the new characters being even nearly as interesting though!God how i miss the greatest soap ever made
The show will never make it without as much of the original cast as possible! Out of all the noighttome soaps, Dallas was by far the most popular and still is today! You cant beat that cast and I hope the show will be as good as the original!
Hi All, Just Ordered Dallas Season 12 DVD – I Should be able to watch in 10 Days. Dave I
i still have in my safe the last show i videod, first i was going to watch it on my sons barmitzvah but didnt, now i will watch it on my sons wedding day. HE IS ONLY 20
YES!! most definitely bring back DALLAS 2010!! with Larry Hagman,Patrick Duffy,Linda Gray,Charlene Tilton,Steve Kanaly,Ken Kerchieval,Omari Katz,Joshua Harris,Shalane McCall,& Priscilla Beauliu-Presley,& Victoria Principal..Reprising their character roles…
Sure JR back and everyone else!!! It was so good to watch your twisted minds always on Fridays when I wasn´t old enough to go to the bars or I was lonely at home because my boyfriend left me all alone.. But now I´m happily married, and have a one son who lives with A SO GOODLOOKING woman(my son is no “worse” either)= they are perfect and my son speaks SOOO GOOOD English. Hey, take him there too. He needs to have money but just enough to support his girlfriend and their lovely dog, puppy called Zlatan. Pictures are in Facebook:D My son really needs a job and me and my husband belive that he could act ANYONE! ´He´s natural, he can do comics, drama, quick changes and so on!This must sound terrible with my English but it´s not the same with HIM:D Call him and you know more.

YES,YES….please bring Dallas Back. I also would like to have season 14 and any other DVD’s after the 13 th season.
I think Julian Mcmahon (christian from nip tuck) would be great JR.
no one can play J.R. He is the one and only
lol. i was always told i would make a great jr since i have the killer instinct he has.
I just read this, did not ever think this would happen if it does and you can get them back, I will be watching. There has not been anything even close to this series in the history of television.
The old cast MUST be there in the beginning to at least get things going but they should be kept for as long as possible as well.
Please come back Ewings !!!
Well, It would be the most fantastic event ever done in TV history to bring back Dallas on the screen with a new series.
But it should somehow be a sensible and exciting sequel of the original series.
J.R. ,Bobby and all the original cast who are still alive should be brought back otherwise there’s no point in doing anything.
We fans around the world must feel the original and typical “Dallas climate” and I can quarantee it would be the most succesful return of a series ever made and millions of fans will watch it making Dallas again the king of Soap Operas!
Dear Warner Do it,but only with the original cast!
Have a great success!
i am dallas,s number one fan but even i thought the final season of dallas was awful and that was due to all the new characters who we didnt care about and the loss of all the characters we loved,so it could only work with those old characters or what is the point? definately needs jr, sue ellen ,bobby, ray, cliff, lucy, donna, pam etc bring it on
MERRY CHRISTMAS DALLAS & CREW, Wishing for a NEW SERIES in 2010 SANTA WARNER CLAUS.
Appreciate it, was looking for something along the lines of this for a while. Where’s the subscribe button? Ha
I won’t Dallas back on the tube or your all fired and you’ll never work in television ever again. No not really, I don’t have that kind of pull, but would back on anyways. I could use job as well if you have one of those someplace. Well, I guess I’ll have to wait and see what you do, I hate that!!!
I read somewhere that the original cast would just visit (“cameo”?) the new sereies, if so I believe Warners have totally misunderstood the fans of Dallas. WE WANT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE OF THE ORIGINAL CAST IN THE NEW SERIES – PERIOD! Speaking for myself, I don´t think I would eevn bother to watch otherwise.
This would be great. They tried this before, with a younger generation, however people seemed to be only interested in the older Ewings. I think the world is ready for a good night time drama that does not deal with deadly viruses or vampires etc. A good rich, character driven soap is always good. I would love to see JR and Sue Ellen become the “new” Jock and Miss Ellie.
JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby, Christopher, John Ross, Bobby, Pasty, Jimmy, Pamela Rebecca, James, Jr and Cally’s daughter, Lucas, Ray & Donna’s daughter would be the only ones coming back in the new show. It have cameos by Ray, Donna, Cliff, Afton, Cally, Jenna, Lucy but they wont be a huge part of the show as it would be a Next Generation type series
sounds perfect to me!
Where’s Shasa J.R.’s son from europe Remember the hotel with
J.R. “I’m outta here son”
Great news, love the show. LOVE seein Ray out Swingin that AX choppin firewood. Remember Nataly? You still in mexico?
I still own Sue Ellens MERCEDES 450se , do you think value will go up on this car if TV show returns?
Are you sure Sue Ellen had that car, isn’t that the coupe. Sue Ellen had the wagon, unless it’s the same car lol. Thanks.
Sue Ellen drove a Mercury wagon, Mercedes wagon, and Mercedes coupe during the series.
Yes and it should at least double in value. What are you asking for it now?
I do not have just ordered from MOVIES UNLIMITED-not waiting around to see if I can find at Walmart-usually all sold out–I live in Canada, it’s just easier to order from them–hope this helps.
It’s the actress not the car we care about. The cars value is in
the blue book.2 to 4 k
I hope they bring back RAY , loved watching him SWING that AX chapping wood
with his shirt off of course
You know the girls called Jack potatoe pants. Better get him back so the girls can drool.
Dallas is not Dallas without the remaining originals (& a select few non-originals). We need JR, Bobby, Pam, Sue Ellen, Lucy, Ray & Cliff back. Also Afton, Donna, Sly, Kendal, Phyllis, Teresa, Raoul, Jeremy Wendell, John Ross & Christopher…
Wendell is out. Remember, Carter McCay took over for Wendell and currently JR is the head of West Star Oil with Bobby and Sue Ellen owning Ewing Oil. The new show should take over where the last reunion movie left off.
I say they should use the “Dallas the Gathering” as a Starting Point. Let’s have a funeral for Miss Ellie and put her to rest the proper way and that will help explain bringing some other folks back to Dallas. I am not sure there is any room for Pam on the show now, but there sure would be a good storyline to have Jenna return from Europe with Ray and Lucas.
OMG OMG my life would be complete. it would be number one again especially with all the crap on tv now
Gotta have Ray. I’d also like to see Sheree J. Wilson, although
since April was killed off, could they work her in somehow perhaps
in a flashback?
Bring it on with J.R. Bobby,SueEllen,Ray,and good ol Cliff
and it would be nice too see Pam also
Great news, I got to meet JR, Bobby and Sue Ellen, revive Cliff and maybe I will meet him, bringing Dallas back and that familiar old theme will make my decade!
Please, please, please bring them back. They would blow away anything on TV today. But….JR, Sue Ellen, Bobby and Pam MUST be included.
It would be fantastic to bring Dallas back, but please dont do it without JR, SueEllen, Ray and Bobby.
My friends and I meet every Friday evening in the winter to watch DALLAS on dvd. If this show aired again we would be thrilled. We will all be waiting to hear if this is going to happen!
PLEASE BRING BACK DALLAS!
Where are auditions???!!!!!!
I would like to see Back on Tv… i have watched thid show, since i was younger, please bring Dallas back on TNT….
BD……
Would be great if they set up a production company and called it LORIMAR, to produce the new Dallas series. This would be brilliant!!
PLEASE, PLEASE 1000X I SAY PLEASE BRING DALLAS BACK. IT MUST HAVE PATRICK, VICTORIA. LARRY , LINDA , CHARLENE, STEVE, MARIE, AND SUSAN for it to succeed. Pay them what ever it take to get the series on AGAIN. Maybe a plot that would bring KNOTS LANDING cast to Dallas for the Ewing BBQ or the Oil Barron’s Ball.
Hi All,
J.R. said to John Ross, there Will be a Big Executive Chair when you come Out of College.
THAT WOULD BE THE BEST IF DALLAS WOULD BE BROUGHT BACK TO TV NOTHING SINCE HAS BEEN AS GOOD AS THAT SHOW WAS ONLY 18NWHEN IT CAME OUT AND THAT SHOW KEPT ME AT HOME EVERY FRIDAY NIGHT TILL TEN CAN’T WAIT.
Hi all,
That was one of the best news this year! Hope it can be real. As one say “Not without JR, Bobby” and I will add Sue Ellen and Cliff.
We have somthing to look forward too.
J-E Lindblom Sweden
I wonder if this New Dallas TV Show will be where the Ewings are the Alternative Energy Company instead of the Oil company.
Wow …how good would it be if Dallas is brought back… it wouldn’t be the same without JR and Bobby… there are so many storylines which can be created and maybe the public could write in and say what they would like to happen. I started watching dallas on UK Gold 3 years ago and it always shown season 2-3 and repeated the next year. Ive now purchased all the DVD’s and Im upto Season 11… its on its way to me and I can’t wait to watch what happens….Dallas is all about lives within a dream reality…better than a Soap.. BRING BACK DALLAS… It will be the best thing ever.
Anna, England.
I loved dallas back in the 80′s but I seriously doubt it will last in this generation with programs like dancing with the stars, american idol and csi ..I really think they need to let dallas rest because I would hate for it to try and compete with these programs and get axed after a week. Warner Brothers pls reconsider and don’t let dallas be another remake of knight rider which was axed after a month!
Hi majestic, Thanking you for your opinion. The Stars are Dancing in Dallas Too. Also Dallas has Singers as Well. J.R. is Good at Getting the Police on the Job as Well. I say Dallas went alot further than Knight Rider. In my Considered Opinion, Dallas Will Shake Up the Industry. Dave I.
Just read the article by Virginia Blackburn (http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/139056/I-loved-Dallas-but-TV-was-right-to-stay-shot-of-JR-)and it appears she has validated my earlier post on this forum regarding the possible return of Dallas. Again, loved the show (in it’s day) but I question if it has a place in todays world. Sure people like escapism from our own worries and delve into others but for a weekley series this requires investment by the viewer. Australia (touch wood) looks liely to have escaped the Global Financial Crisis however my understanding is America – and other parts of the world – are still in the grip of a recession. My advice to the writers would be to create strong character storylines and focus less on the spoils of money..then again I would like to see the opening scene begin with an exterior shot of Southfork, competely run down, as though the Ewings had deserted the property years before. This would give the new series an air of mystery, captivating the old and new fans with the question, “What happened?” After this who knows.
Brad.
I was a huge fan of Dallas up until about 1989 and the last season was aweful, especially the series finale. After Victoria Principal and Linda Gray left the show it just went downhill fast. It would be cool if they brought it back, but they would have to have a good pilot and storyline to attract the old and new viewers. When Dallas was at its peak, it was about the Bobby and Pam love story, their fueding families and of course J.R. and his antics.
If this new Dallas generation does happen, they definately need to have Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy and Victoria Principal. I am sure if they offered Victoria a good deal financially, she would come back. After all, what has she done lately. I don’t think anything.
Opening Pilot:
The Ewing boys all grown up and running an oil company,an interesting storyline with Pams return, Sue Ellen in politics, etc, etc. Something for the producers to think about.
With the potential of bringing back one of TV”s greatest series, I am ecstatic. A great story line of bringing back the Ewing’s, JR and Bobby with their sons John Ross and Christopher either against each other or working together under the guidence of their Fathers,JR and Bobby against all odds and of course the Huge Global oil markets. How is this for a twist. The Ewing offspring working together with the Son and the Daughter of old Cliff Barnes with Jr’s son falling in love with the Barns Girl..The possibilities are endless…
dallas was my favorite show,i hope they do bring it back, however,i hope they make it like the first 5 seasons, after that it went down hill, especially when donna reed replaced miss ellie.
I started buying the season DVD’d of Dallas last Christmas for my husband who is a big fan, and have up to season 11 now. I never watched it in its original showing except for the who shot JR cliffhanger but am so hooked. I can’t wait until Jan when season twelve is released on dvd and when the new series comes out.
Wonderful news. Please could you keep us all updated with this fantastic news. This is so the right time to bring back the only number one soap of the world. The 1st and the best Bring it on Dallas!!!
I have always enjoy watching Dallas and I sure miss it. I do hope that it can return to TV. I thank you you for letting me comment and have a grat day.
I LUV DALLAS,,MAKE IT HAPPEN!
Does anyone have anymore up to date info on this? If this is true, I would very much like to audition to be on the next Generation of Dallas. I am a struggling actor, and would be so upset if I didn’t do anything and everything I could to at least try to get on my favorite shows of all time. Anybody know anything else?
Hi Matt, Good Luck and I Will Bale My Father J.R. out.( being the Secret Son of J.R.) With the ‘Deeds’ for the Full Ownership of All OIL in TEXAS.
We’ve been imagining a great Dallas comeback. Now that it is a possibility, this is fabulous news. With a new generation of Ewings, it should make for intriguing storylines…also, with technology like cellphones, internet..which was lacking in the original storylines. Also, if they keep the opening music somewhat the same…we need some originality in that was also. Dallas will be a hit all over again, I’m sure.
Great Work Ashley, Yes A New Computer for J.R. and Bobby would Liven them Up Hey. As for A Internet Cell Phone Each would be Doing Deals on the Run. ‘SUPER DALLAS’ is Just around the Corner.
Hi,
I follow Dallas when I was young, at that time in Sweden and nowdays in a age of fifty, I have the moviebox to remember.
A new start of a new generation Dallas is a dream, hope it will be true.
I’m 35 years old from Maryland. I just love Dallas. I have every season available on DVD and I’m awaiting the release of Season 12. I really hope the Ewings and Barnes’ return to TV. Dallas wouldn’t be Dallas without JR and Cliff fighting among each other. As for new characters, Bobby’s son Lucas by Jenna, Ray’s daughter Margeret by Donna, JR’s son by Callie, plus John Ross, Christopher, and Pamela Rebecca Cooper (Cliff’s daughter by Afton). I’m sure there is plenty of new talent to go around. It should be interesting to see how that all pans out.
Plus, at Southfork Ranch in the museum, there is a family tree which list all sorts of new players in the Ewing and Barnes clans.
PLEASE BRING DALLAS BACK!!!
This would be fantastic ! Cannot not wait !
JR as a secret son with Cally too, right ??
I just can’t wait!!!! Here in the Netherlands Warner Bros. cancelled the DVD-releases of the series from season 7. I hope, because maybe Dallas will return with new series, Warner Bros. Netherlands will release the DVD of Dallas Season 7 through 14 with Dutch subtitles.
Wow. What an idea this is. I am a “MAJOR” fan of Dallas. But one thing concerns me. If it is just going to be Jr, Sue Ellen, & Bobby returning in 2010 for a new series, where would “Cliff Barnes” be?. Jr “HAS” to have Cliff come back. Cause who else will he have to fight, downgrade, and compete with? Dallas is the 1 show of all time. It will be interesting to see where this goes.
I’m 61 and have been waiting a long time for them to bring back the Dallas Family. There are enough younger Ewings to bring it back to life and keep old feuds going. Bobby’s son by Jenna is a whole storyline right there. Looking forward to the pilot in 2010.
Nice to meet you Linda
Dallas was and will always be #1 as far as I’m concerned. At its lowest, it was still the most entertaining program on…never missed an episode!
great news!,,and keep original music, also.luv it.
I think that if they bring Dallas back it won’t be the same as the original but it would be cool to see the next generation of Ewings and see how everyone turned out.
Is Jr the same business-man he was before?
Is Bobby the “good” Ewing anymore?
How is Sue Ellen doing?
Will Gary, Val, Pam, Ray, and Lucy be back?
Well we all want this to happen big time, and it will work ,it will be a real big hit. Thanks to all the fans around the world, and this web site. And Dallas being such an iconic part in all are lives. And all the actors who made it so real. I thank you all.
I hate to say it. But this is not going to work.
1. NOBODY CAN REPLACE LEONARD KATZMAN – COME ON! WHO WE KIDDING! THE NEW PRODUCERS PROBABLY NEVER WORSHIPPED OR WATCHED THE SHOW LIKE US FANS.
2. CAN’T REPLACE ORIGINAL CAST WITH A NEW ONE: ESPECIALLY J.R. (LARRY HAGMAN)
3. EVERYONE IS GREEN TODAY; ANTI-OIL INDUSTRY, WHOSE GOING TO BE INTERESTED IN A SHOW ABOUT OIL TODAY? ESPECIALLY AFTER THE LONG BUSH REIN IN THE PRESIDENT SEAT.
Hi Will, they say there could be a come back – if they do I say it will be a Hit. Doctor Who and James Bond have New Charactors. J.R. stopped a Wind and Solar Farm in the Past. Today we use Oil still and Dallas can go Green Too.
If Warner brothers is smart they allow L.Hagman and Patrick duffy and L.Grey have some say in Casting. If W.B is going to cast cast actors that resemble and capture the personas of the parents instead of going with big names or commerical actors who don’t remind you of Larry and Patrick and Linda Grey. That would be a mistake.
This is a great idea, and for all who say Victoria Principal should return would totally phase out the idea of a reboot with younger characters. The show needs to bring in the loyal fans with Hagman, Gray, Duffy and Kerchaval. There would be too much storyline on Pam’s return to get the new storylines for the younger generation off the ground. The new fans would tune in to see what everyone is talking about and the glamour and sex which surly will follow in the original season footsteps. But bringing back Pam and the storylines to follow would really like giving Dallas a Complete 15 season. We need Hagman, Gray and Duffy to be main stars along side the new ones and the other original series cast guest stars and 2 or 3 episode arc per season. Overall I think a new Dallas series is what all the original fans need and all the new followers would want.
I have to disagree about Victoria Principal. The loyal fans of the original Dallas series are still waiting for closure with regard to Pam’s exit from the show. I would love for Bobby to finally be re-united with his one true love, Pamela Barnes. Is the character still alive? Unfortunately for all of us, I doubt that Victoria would ever agree to do a new Dallas series. She seems to have washed her hands of that part of her life. I was surprised when she agreed to appear on the unscripted reunion show. J.R., Sue Ellen, Bobby, and Pam were the soul of Dallas. There is room for all of them, leading a brand new generation.
Hi All, We are really getting going with the ‘New Dallas Script’, (While we are waiting for season 12 to come out). Now J.R.(JOCK)has a New Plan that takes Everybody by Surprise, he Finds Deed’s which gives him Complete Ownership of all Oil in TEXAS.
Wow awesome news -
i agree with everyone when – let it happen – all i watch on tv is heroe, brothers and sisiters and desperate housewives – all the rest is the just the same over and over – when i think of a soap or a drama Dallas is the 1st that always comes to mind – Bobby, JR and Sue Ellen are TV icons and we sure do need them back –
the way the charachter of Sue Ellen blossoms during the run of the show is spectecular – she deserves to be the new reigning matriarch of south fork a true successor to Miss Ellie – there are so man scenerios with all the different roles from old ad new charachter that we already know and love the show would have a good 5 season run!
Opening scene for new show:
Christoper and Afton’s daughter driving down a Texas road in a 2010 Mercedes sl 600 convertable on their way to Southfork to tell everyone they just got married.
Bobby and wife Jenna Wade and daughter are living at Southfork with J.R. Senior and new wife (the new Miss Ellie) and John Ross (New J.R.). Larry Hagman can play the role of Jock.
You could have Cliff and Afton married with a son who can play the role of the the old Cliff who always wanted to destroy Ewing Oil.
Bad, Bad, Bad.
Why would you want Christopher to marry Cliff’s daughter? They are cousins. If anyone should marry a Barnes it should be John Ross.
And there would be no Dallas:The Next Generation for me unless the new Jock and Miss Ellie are JR and SUE ELLEN.
Brink back Linda Gray and Larry Hagman and put them together. A lil more mello but still filled with sarcasm and humor.
I might be in the minority, but I think making Christopher and Lucas Wade the primary leads would work better than Christopher and John Ross. You then have Bobby’s biological son pitted against his adopted son, even though Christopher always had the “son” role in Bobby’s life. John Ross and Christopher were never really rivals. Plus, J.R. wasn’t involved in Ewing Oil anymore as of the last TV movie. He was running Westar. Maybe you could have John Ross interested only in Ewing Oil, not the oil business, and that prompts J.R. to try reacquiring it for him, leading to conflict with Bobby/Christopher.
At first, I thought this seemed too good to be true. Now I am actually letting myself believe that it may happen! I would love to watch J.R., Bobby, and Sue Ellen in a new Dallas series alongside John Ross, Christopher, and maybe J.R.’s eldest son, James Ewing. I would also like to see Cliff and Afton’s daughter, Pamela Barnes, romancing either John Ross or Christopher.
FANTASTIC NEWS, ”DALLAS”RETORN TO TV ….. A NEW GENERATION WITH LARRY HAGMAN,PATRICK DUFFY,LINDA GRAY, KEN KERCHEVAL……AND YOUNGERS ACTORS…..
YES, I so HOPE this happens. I am so tired of all the silly reality shows and how many CSI’s can a person take in a week, if a person wants to see murders and such just turn on the evening news. Shows like Dallas let us all ESCAPE from the “everday” at least for an hour, into a world that most of us could only emagine. And with all the terrible things going on around the world and the economy (a movie ticket now is a luxury I cant afford on a regular basis) it would be nice to have that escape at home on my television once a week. Warner Brothers made a fortune and still does in repeats off of shows like DALLAS, KNOTS LANDING and FALCON CREST. Bring back ALL of these GREAT shows. There is still a HUGE audience new/old waiting for something other than what’s on. Drama’s are makeing a comback, look at Desperate Housewives, The Good Wife, Brothers And Sisters. These shows have a huge loyal audience, however; shows like CSI(The Franchise of the three Miami, N.Y. and Las Vegas) as well as the Law And Order’s and even the once sucessful reality shows, Dancing With The Stars, American Idol just to name a few have LOST RATEINGS and audiences are TIRED of them they have lost QUALITY. Even Jay Leno on prime time @ 10p.m. 5 nights a week is KILLING NBC’s rateings. This is NOT just my opinion but based on Neilsons Rateings FACT’s. Wake Up NETWORKS BRING BACK the Oldies but Goodies AUDIENCES are starving for them.
SUPER idea, HOPE it happens. Of course Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, Patrick Duffy and (HOPEFULLY)Victoria Principal MUST BE INCLUDED. They dont seem to be doing anything on t.v. these were main characters and as a LOYAL FAN for 13 seasons I would feel cheated if these four ORIGIONAL cast members were not involved and look forward to the new generation characters as well.
Great! I can´t wait!
that would be great news for all U.S fans ! I anm living in U.K and have the complete box set collection available so far.Me and my 12 year old daughter are massive fans which goes to show you what a timeless ,classic show Dallas is and it appeala to all generations !We are currently watching the latest collection available to us in U.K ( 11 th season !) and it is gripping as ever-got a day of shopping with daughter and then a Dallas night to follow !Hurry up with season 12! As for return of dallas,it would be marvrllous to see it return and see t.v icons like Linda Gray,Patrick Duffy and the legend that is Larry ‘J.R’ Hagman gace our screens again !
I hope this is true. I’d love to see Larry as JR again. Best TV series EVER!!!
I hope this is real! especially if Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy are back. The show will be a hit! Again! Cannot wait.
I hope it happens. I was just a kid when Dallas was on, but used to watch with my parents and grandparents. I watched the whole series over again when it ran on SoapNet. It is truly one of the best prime time soap operas ever and one of my all time favorite shows. I hope it comes back with more than just Linda, Larry and Patrick. I hope they put together as much of the original cast as possible. I also hope the writing is as good as the first couple of seasons! If the people from Warner Brothers are reading this, please bring it back! JR has to be one of my favorite TV characters of all time. He was so bad, but so easy to love!
please let this be true
ive loved dallas for years and i really miss it on tv
brilliant news lets hope its true
for sure need Sasha Mitchell on the new show
Woo-hoo! That is fantastic news!
Even if the show is only a fraction as good as it was, it will still be the best thing on television!
Freaking SWEET! I can’t wait to start a new generation on Dallas. This would be fabulous!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LET THIS REALLY HAPPEN. BEST NEWS EVER
We need to see a lot more of Linda Gray, on TV….
BEST NEWS IN YEARS!!!!!
Want to see Sasha Mitchell in the next series continuation!!!!!
Need to rebroadcast original show!!!!!
ABSOLUTELY! DALLAS is the best show ever if we can continue to have soaps around like Young and the Restless PLEASE BRING BACK DALLAS! And work very hard and rest of course but just tape and tape and tape and make hundreds and hundreds of more episodes while Larry Hagman, Linda Gray, and Patrick Duffy are still alive.
Would love to see as many of the original actors and actresses as possible, but yes bring new and younger characters to the show as well especially Sasha Mitchell.
Keep up the good work on releasing the rest of the DVD releases for the original series and release the new series on DVD as well if it comes out. And DO NOT forget the Dallas Reunion Movies on DVD too.
Thank you and hope it all happens!
I hope Sue-Ellen will have alcohol problems, that´s better tv than a “succesful businesswoman”. Really looking forward to a new Dallas anyway! LOVE Dallas.
This is the ‘CAST’ – J.R. is JOCK – Miss Elly is Sue Ellen etc etc
OMG ! Please Warner Bros. We want Dallas back. And Friday nights will be worth staying home again.
I’m from the Netherlands. To see them back, a mixture of the old crew and a new crew, would be a huge hit. I can’t wait.
Go for it!
Pay them what they deserve….bring back the original kids that were cast to play themselves again and whatever original cast members are able to return! Dallas is and always will be in a league of its own, with as many original cast members, young and old, then its already halfway to being a success…good writers and directors is all thats needed! I think these forums and our sincere comments should be sent along with the scripts when approaching the potential casts. The dream scene was corny but us die hard fans are still here…original or new..give it a chance!! Who wants reality TV rammed down our throats anyway?..not me!
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
LA DA DA DADADA DADADADA
I know i’m smiling from ear to ear bout it.

I am thrilled that Dallas is coming back. Its 1 of my favorite, and all time shows that i love on tv.Please be true, and wish u all the luck Dallas crew that this happens.Be waiting for the pilot to come on,and wish it would come on CBS.
I think a Dallas series featuring both the old and new generations would be a true hit. However, let us not forget that the recent attempts (i.e., JR Returns and War of the Ewings) were ‘okay’ at best. A writing team with a working knowledge of what worked in the past (taking care not to repeat same storylines) is crucial. And honestly, if this is going to work, they MUST bring Victoria Principal back as Pam. Even though she parted years ago (and the storylines alluded to her pending death in season 12 episode 1), viewers really need more here. If VP is reading, please consider returning. Your fans are many, and we would love to see you back after all these years!
I would LOVe that!! Dallas was a great show and i would love to see Jr, Bobbie, sue Ellen and Pamela again!! Of course I will miss Miss Ellie as much as I had missed Jock but as in life there is death and even without them(cause NO one can hold a candle to Barbara as well as Jim)
I will LOVE Dallas to come back to tv!
Oh, my god I hope so. Give us an email or address so we can write warner brothers to make this happen.
hello i’m from france i watch dallas every day it’s so great i have the seasons 1 to 11 bring back in the spinoff bobby and pamela they make a good couple it’s great dallas i would like to start in it as bobby and pamela daugther cointune for the good luckxxooo
hi I’m from Germany. That’s the best news today. I looked tje firstime dallas 27 Years ago and I love it.Sue Ellen is my favorite
Please bring Pamela back, she was my favorite and of course Bobby!
This is fantastic! My two favourite shows when I was growing up back in the eighties were Dallas and Doctor Who. When Doctor Who finished in 1989 I was devastated, then when Dallas finished in 1991 I did another bawling act. When Doctor Who returned in 2005 and became a hit again I was ecstatic, but I always became very teary eyed when I thought about Dallas and wished it could come back. Doctor Who I knew by its constantly changing format had the potential to survive on television for a very long time again, but that sort of format was not the same as Dallas, but I still missed the most famous soap of them all. Can I say that this news has made me a very happy man, to have both my childhood shows return to television production is absolute heaven. I hope it comes to fruition. I also hope the new Dallas has David Jacobs involvement, and hopefully some of the surviving Katzman’s, Frank or Mitchell Wayne. David Paulsen and Arthur Bernard Lewis know the show inside out and would be ideal on a sequel series. Finally the new Dallas has the potential to become a prime time hit just like the original hit series. I love this show. Yippee, Dallas is coming back!!
come on kim, weve had dallas movies its time to bring the greatest tv series of all time back to tv regular.
I’m so excited, I hope it takes off well like the orginal series did.
That would be truly great – if, that is, it´s the original cast (I do hope that Lucy, Ray and the other original cast are included as well as JR, Bobby and Sue-Ellen). PS! Get GOOD writers.
That’s great but they need not but it on pay tv not all of us have pay tv . They need to consider that . I want to be in on the action too!!
I agree with you…but..even if they air it on a subscrpition channel…I’ll pay for it…to see a whole new Dallas series would be all worth it for me..but, I do hope they air it on free channels.
j.r.,sue ellen, pam, lucy, bobby, ray, cliff, gary, donna, they’l make the comeback series a hit, don’t do like the other shows that tried and failed, there are millions of fans like me of dallas who agree.but i luv the idea…
A “new” Dallas – just wouldn’t be the same – people just don’t “warm” to folks with cash and opportunities like the Ewings had anymore – and with the current gas situation, not sure this would be a good thing for 2010 ….. I think they should get as many original folks as they can and do another return movie …..
HELLO i’m very happy for this great news it would be fabulous if at the begining we would see the original cast and if possible with victoria principal who miss so much to everybody in any way it would be wonderful a french fan since a long time
I don’t want a reboot like Star Trek. It is trash.
Best news ever… that would be fab.
AWESOME,BUT BRING BACK THE REST OF THE CAST,IT WOULD MAKE IT MORE LIKE OLD TIMES,EVEN THO STILL HAVE JOCK AND ELLIE ARE GONE THERE MEMORY LIVES ON
You have got to be kidding! I’ll audition to play JR’s son!! WOW Thats great!
I agree with Scott, from Scotland, one wrong move and our hopes of the new series could be gone. After ALL these years, I do not want a re-hash of the stories that have already been told. Give us something fresh and new. I am definetly not the same as I was when the series was on the air and do not expect the characters to be either. In saying this, it is time that Lucy was portrayed as a responsible adult. PLEASE make her an ongoing cast member. As for Pam, let’s take care of this storyline once and for all. If VP doesn’t wish to return, either kill her off or recast the role. It’s a NEW beginning. Would hope Afton and Cliff are around, even if only in smaller roles. A Donna and Ray storyline would do excellent. I never liked Ray and Jenna together. The love just never seemed real like it seemed with Donna and Ray. The next generation will be fine, but I do not want them to forget the older fans. JR, Sue Ellen, and Bobby will definetly have a strong spot in the series if the actors agree to participate. Just excited about the news. YA-HOO!!
It’s been too long since the original series went off the air to worry about its reputation. They’ve made it and they are safe.
This is for a new generation in the target demograhic (21-45)- half of whom were half pints when ol’ JR was wearing his 7 gal hat. It has to be different-it should be- and it will be.
I would wager my 20% and Lucy’s 10% of Ewing Oil that we will see cameos, but not full-time roles for the original cast. This will be like the new Melrose Place, 90210, and Star Trek (movie).
Good for them! Good for us!!
(I think I just wet myself)
Wow! Just WOW!!! The greatest drama series of all time could potentially be reurning to our screens!
If this is all indeed true, then my god this will make for essential television viewing for me and millions of other Dallas fans around the world!
However, in order to make it work, the new producers will most definately have to cast the new generation of Ewing’s extremely well to match up with the shows original cast members; baring in mine that the original cast were among some of the finest actors on television at the time. The new cast will hold the key to the shows potential success in my opinion as the new generation of Ewing’s will in turn pull in a new generation of viewers.
And as for the original cast, we WILL need Larry Hagman (J.R. Ewing), Lind Gray (Sue Ellen Ewing), Patrick Duffy (Bobby Ewing), Ken Kercheval (Cliff Barnes) and maybe even Steve Kanaly and Susan Howard (Ray and Donna Krebbs) in order to bring in the viewers who watched the show on its original run. And, if we are extremely lucky, maybe even Victoria Principal (Pamela Barnes Ewing) should return. But that is just wishful thinking on Dallas fans part. (But how great would that be!)
Also, the new storylines will need to be intelligent and gripping in order to match up with previous sotrylines in the shows heyday; so a collection of excellent writers is vital to measure up to what Leonard Katzman and co did all those years ago.
And please, please, please don’t make this into a teen drama like 90210 or One Tree Hill just because a new cast will be in it, Dallas deserves better than that.
If all of these things are done, and done well, then I think it’s safe to say the new show will be on to a winner.
However, one wrong move and this show could be a disaster and could drag the reputation of the original series down with it; which it doesn’t deserve in any way, shape or form!

Hi! My thoughts on this are:
If the original cast members are involved in this, then it will be a hit. If not, then it will be awful. Dallas is the original
cast members and NO One can take their places.
dallas started during the last great depression of jimmy carter in the late 70′s and it was a hit… now we are in even a worse depression…. what a better time to bring it back…
I think its a great idea, Show the original ctors how good they were let them enjoy the show that they created!!! xxx
I am from Germany. This sounds great.
April Stevens is dead.
I hope Sheree J. Wilson returns as April Stevens, She’s beautiful!
oh yah, I forgot she only died in Pam’s “dream sequence”…maybe they can bring her back..then maybe along the line, they bring Pam back and have Bobby torn between the women he loves…whatchya think?..hehe.
I say
Jason Bateman for the role John Ross Ewing lll
(in tv show its your move he played a JR style character)
and Patrick Dempsey for Christopher Ewing or Lucas Wade.
Pamela Cooper Character has to be cast right as well just as important as JR3
hello everybody!!!! i’m french, i’ve just woken up and that’s the first news i read this morning! i’m so happy!!!! it’s greaaaaaat!!!
(“rebecca show transformiste” on facebook)
I think this sounds great. A new exciting generation plus our favorites showing up to move along the plotlines …I’m excited.
This will only work if they get the right actor to play John Ross lll.
It will take a big shot actor to fill in those shoes, cause he’s going to have to match what Larry Hagman is capable of.
I suggest someone like Jude Law or Christian Bale. Both have a look that would match Larry Hagman.
This is going to be tough.
With the wrong John Ross lll and without bringing back the original cast, the show will certainly fail big time.
I’m not sure if the TV networks can afford the new cast and original cast salaries on top of it all…
I can’t imagine a new show without Ken Kercheval, Victoria Principal, Steve Kanaly, Charlene Tilton, Susan Howard, Duffy, Gray, and Hagman.
Plus the new cast will have to match those talents….
I’m not holding my breath.
Don’t mess up a good thing.
I will be looking forward to it
Desde Chile, para mi seria una gran noticia
YES!!! This is great news!!!
like a dream come true….
John Ross Ewing III, Christopher Ewing, Pamela Rebecca Cooper, Charlie Wade, Margaret Krebbs and Lucas Krebbs are the new generation…??
JR, Sue Ellen and Bobby back… I think it’s amazing!!
I mean take off better than… oops…
this is the best news for me since waiting 19 years for the Star Wars prequels. Woo Hoo..
WE WILL WATCH SO PLEASE MAKE THIS A REALITY FOR US FANS!!!!!
This would take of better than 90210, Melrose, and Hawaii 5-0 combined.
It’s def. time for this!!!!
Here from The Netherlands,
I can’t wait!!!!
I’m french, I live in Reunion Island and I just arrive in Plano yesterday after 22000 miles in plane to come and visit Southfork Ranch, it was an old dream since I saw the tv show Dallas in 1981 and the first news I learn by watching TV here, it’s the Dallas comeback, very huge news and it’s probably not a coincidence, thanks GOD to make two of my dreams come true again! I hope to have a little role in the new show! Southfork I arrive !!!
I always thought a DALLAS – the next Generation series was something that would work brilliantly and now it seems that TV execs have finally woken up! FANTASTIC NEWS.
Though a fan of the original TV Series (up until that dreaded dream season) I wonder if the show will work in the current Global Financial Crisis? I’m not sure people will relate to the Ewing Family flashing their wealth about. Remember the original series worked because the world was on the cusp of enjoying personal wealth.
Yes please! Best of all would be for the original cast to stay on as the elder generation, but I’ll settle for a generous helping of special guest appearances.
You´re KIDDING??? This would be unbe-friggin-lievable!!
OH MY GOD!!! That would be amazing!!! Dallas fans have been waiting for years for this.
This is the best news I’ve heard in 18 years! I hope the rumors are true, but in the meantime, will there be a chance of the reruns being aired again?
