The Dallas Ewings – New Years Eve in Naples, FL

Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing of the Dallas TV series), spokesperson for the J. Timothy Hogan Foundation, Inc., in Naples FL, is very pleased that eleven members of her “Dallas family” have gathered together to support a charity that is near and dear to her heart.

The idea for the theme of the benefit sprang out of coverage of a “Dallas Reunion” last year at Southfork Ranch, but it is important to emphasize that this is a high-profile charitable benefit, not a “reunion event” although “Dallas” fans are most welcome to attend.  This benefit will benchmark the new capital campaign for 2010.  Its pricing will reflect its purpose and exceed typical charges for fan reunions.

J. Timothy Hogan Foundation has invited the cast of the Dallas TV Series to host this fundraiser at an exclusive New Year’s Eve celebration and have received commitments from eleven cast members:  Larry Hagman (JR Ewing), Charlene Tilton (Lucy Ewing), Steve Kanaly (Ray Krebbs), Susan Howard (Donna Krebbs), Ken Kerchavel (Cliff Barnes), Sheree J. Wilson (April Stevens Ewing), Deborah Shelton (Mandy Winger & Miss USA 07), Audrey Landers (Afton Cooper), Joan Van Ark (Valene Ewing), Jack Scalia (Nicholas Pearson), Jared Martin (Dusty Farlow).  They are waiting for more that have given very positive responses.  The goal is for 14-16 cast members.

There is another exciting event within this event!  Jared Martin, whose role was Dusty Farlow, has done very few personal appearances since Dallas, but has focused on his own non-profit organization, Big Picture Alliances, Inc. (

Jared works with inner city kids of Philadelphia teaching them film and production to give them an opportunity in that industry. Not only is Jared joining the event but he is bringing 3 students to cover this event as a teaching experience in the hopes of producing a documentary of this event.  The two charities are working out details to share proceeds if this develops, to equally benefit both charities – this alone is a great story!

This promises to be a historic event in that never in the history of this show has this many Dallas cast members gathered together for a charity,
given many circumstances, it is very likely this may never happen again, and
we have two wonderful children’s charities involved.

A extraordinary venue has been selected that offers exceptional organization and security, Ngala

This 42 acre private reserve has a safari / Madagascar ambiance and facilities that will accommodate up to 1000.  It is approximately 8 miles out of Naples on the edge of the Everglades and Reserves.  Cars are not allowed and security is high.  Bussing of guests is required and provided.  The event is named “The Ewings of Dallas New Year’s Eve Safari nGALA” for the benefit of the J. Timothy Hogan Foundation.

The 2-day celebration will start the evening before with an exclusive cocktail reception for Sponsors and VIPs hosted by the cast and a formal sit-down dinner limited to 146 guests at the Naples Hilton Towers (the sponsor hotel including The Naples Grande).
The cast members and their spouse/guest will sit at the guest tables during dinner,
After dinner guests will enjoy a showing and fun narrative ‘by the cast’ of a Dallas Bloopers movie. Larry Hagman is bringing his personal bloopers and private movies.

The main event will consist of a cocktail reception (location to be announce), again hosted by the cast for a different VIP group limited to 150 followed by a coach trip to Ngala (boarding sites will be announced)Hors d’ oeuvres, cocktails, and enjoying the live art, a sit down dinner,
a fun “Dallas Cast” Q & A session on stage after dinner (conducted by a ‘special’ guest panel), the countdown to the New Year and champagne celebration, then, the good night return on the coaches.

Ticket prices range from $750 to $3000.  Money raised at this event will go to the building and endowment funds, and J. Timothy Hogan’s new collaborative children’s mental health clinic opening in late October / early November.

The Timothy Hogan Foundation, Inc. in Naples, FL is a volunteer 501(c)(3) organization that focuses exclusively on treatment options for children in working families experiencing mental health issues, whose families lack resources to pay for care and do not qualify for other assistance programs.  Too often they cannot afford insurance, or have little if any insurance coverage for this illness.

Our foundation is the only one in the United States known to be organized for this sole purpose. Our goal is to reduce teenage suicide, the 3rd most frequent cause of death in Florida.   Our website is
