Dallas Composer Jerrold Immel Celebrated at 70

Jerrold Immel at 70, a deluxe double-issue of The Film Music Society’s acclaimed quarterly journal The Cue Sheet, Vol. 21, No. 3/4 (July/October 2006), is now available.

This special issue of The Cue Sheet explores Immel’s life and career through unique reminiscences by Dallas and Knots Landing creator David Jacobs; and anecdotes by colleague and fellow composer Bruce Broughton about their early days at CBS. Immel himself shares some personal reflections about his upbringing and growth as a young composer; and a Q & A conducted by journalist Jon Burlingame offers historical insights into Immel’s contributions and experiences in the world of television and film music.

This is a must buy for all fans of Dallas and all proceeds from sales to go film  and TV music preservation efforts.
